What happens when you are seriously out of the money ? Should your account fall below the maintenance margin level will your broker issue a margin call for you to deposit additional funds to bring your account back to required level.

Very likely that SP collapse due to uk car finance "scandal" with different commentators putting a cost ranging from 250 -950 million to BIRG. Court of Appeal went against the Bank and now being appealed to the Supreme Court - how long that takes remains to be seen.

Market always over reacts to "bad news" and vice versa. Will be interesting to see the impairment charge in the f/y results. The bank may opt to ignore it pending the supreme court result but prudence may dictate otherwise.

Bernstein have raised their TP to 22.50 ( 22).

RBC have raised their TP to 21 ( 19.50)

Barclays have raised their TP to 21 (20).

Hit 18.12 today with more to come.

does the 60% payout relate to div alone or is there some bb included. this could mean div of c 1.25bn or 54c a share - 100% increase on last year.

strong statement from AIB but BIRG statement on f/y distributions very similar with a CET1 target >14%.

1 significant change in AIB statement from f/y 23 results is that they have raised their nii to 4bn from a guidance of 3.65Bn when releasing f/y results in march.The actual 2023 f/y nii was 3.841 bn. BIRG have reduced theirs to 3.55bn.
