Lloyds profits down 25%on prior year and sp up 3.7% @.

Lloyds profits down from 7.5bn to 5.97bn.700mill towards motor finance on top of 450 mill last year 1.7 bn in bb.

HSBC profits up 9% and 2bn bb.sp down almost 1%.Joxer might be buying next week.

It appears that goodbody's today state they reduce their BB provision by 50mill and that BIRG have made a 120mill provision for uk car finance in 24 y/e figures. Don't mention their BB figure. Looks like impairment figure will be 300mill - an improvement on last year of 403mill.
