Harry Callahan: I know what you're thinking. 'Did DMS get accredited by 6 AUS Trade associations or only five'? Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, i kind of lost track myself. But being that this is SEE DMS, the most sophisticated DMS which has been tested and Validated in AUS/NZ Fleet , and would rumble your Seat if you looked at my misses the wrong way, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Will DMS be Mandated ?' Well will it , punk?

Fatigue detection paper probes technology

Fatigue monitoring technology has the potential to boost heavy vehicle safety, according to the latest report released by the NHVR.
NHVR Fatigue Specialist Andreas Blahous said the completion of the Review of Fatigue/Distraction Detection Technology interim report was an important milestone in how the Regulator could support industry adoption of fatigue-monitoring technology.
“Commercial studies suggest that fatigue monitoring technology can help identify and address incidents before they happen,” Mr Blahous said.
“While there is currently limited independent information available on the effectiveness of fatigue monitoring technology, users of this technology in the transport industry tell us that there are practical safety benefits, which warrant further study.

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has welcomed news that the new Office of Road Safety will launch 1 July.

Agreed. The ground work SEE and KK have done in the Australian trucking industry on safety and Fatigue management over the last 5 years looks now to be starting to pay dividends with insurance and legislators.

Dr Mike Leene shows of his Robot dance skills at the launch of Advanced Safe Truck Concept launched in Canberra 27 March 2018 which were told is expected to be completed at the end of 2019. The results no doubt will add evidence based credibility to the growing number of stake holders in Australia who consider the Heavy Vehicle National Laws need updating which should see innovative technology like SEE tech mandated in heavy vehicle fleets to manage risk . Can only be positive for SEE imo.

I made an observation a few weeks back regarding Singapore based Dyson , VSI and Toyota with a question about Robotics and if there maybe a connection as Toyota are developing home use robotics. My cut and Pasters word association antenna perked up when I saw Rodney Stewart SVP Engineering at Seeing Machines make the following mention of Robotics on his LinkedIn page . I came across an 2017 article quoting Brent Wijnberg SEE VP Business Development where he says
'Brent says Guardian has been shown to reduce 90 per cent of fatigue events, and pricing varies from AU$90 to AU$150 each vehicle per month based on service inclusions and value-added offers from distribution partners. The contract length is generally between 36 and 60 months'.

I understand the business model has changed since this article but does this alter any of your assumptions noted in your 13th June post which I repost below?

'My assumptions

- 16,000 base at A$50 per month (old model)
- 11,000 FY20 at A$30 per month and A$1k upfront

I get for FY20

- recurring on 16,000 of A$9.6m
- recurring on 11,000 of A$2m
- hardware on 11,000 of A$11m
My total is A$22.6m exactly double the A$11.3m from Cenkos

My assumptions are still prudent as I assume a straight line split and the 27,000 should be beaten as per my post yesterday'
