The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again (in your case total belief that anything Etyan or the BOD says is true or will definitely happen or that they will act in retail shareholder interests) and expecting a different outcome (in your case CEG deliver on their objectives and drive shareholder value).

You're right to spend your money how you wish: if you prefer to fund the lifestyle CEO and his merry band of halfwits that's up to you. Just don't try to pretend there's some sounds business rationale or compelling prospect in contention when there patently isn't.

The old "past is the past" line is only helpful if you're trying to persuade others to invest today in totally changed circumstances. There's nothing new about the CEG BOD or their strategy (keep the payroll running in a lifestyle company) and Uraguay is a convenient reboot of the Bahamas - a playbook that has kept the pigs fed at the trough while retail PIs go hungry.
