No good can come from censoring free speech. You have to see the positive and negative to then be able to form a balanced view. Also if all the public boards become like a waste land as all of the knowledgeable posters have gone elsewhere that is no good for attracting new potential investors looking in. No new blood = no + SP movement
I would hazard a guess Brom doesn't want to engage in willy wangling with a troll / 88 basher / PANR ramper. I mean its futile to try to win an argument with an idiot. ( Something I seem to forget when you pop up). To the best of my knowledge 88 have alway posted estimates in terms of recoverable oil not OIP and not in NPV.
As to cost of infrastructure that's up to whoever buys out our projects. 88 plan is to prove up and sell. How will PANR fund the $100s of millions in capex each year needed as per their presentation??
I don't think I am being harsh. Yukon would certainly be more commercial with Tract 29 but 'uncertainty on the potential commercialisation of Yukon' suggests the Yukon projects future is in jeopardy when it clearly is not, it's in the same position it was in before the ANWR lease sale. Still needs a successful drill and still reliant on Exxon infrastructure.
'At the very least, this is an unquestionable new layer of uncertainty on the potential commercialisation of Yukon.' = cobblers.
I'm suggesting that this is not correct given that 88e bought Yukon well before ANWR was even a possibility so if Tract 29 lease does get refunded then Yukon is in the same position as before ie reliant on Exxon infrastructure. Douche
I see you're talking cobblers again Scott. They bought the Yukon leases a long time ago. Well before the ANWR lease sale. The key to Yukon is Exxon pipeline at Point Thompson but you know that and are just causing mischief.
How's your deal for buying out Farallon going?
I think risk profile over here is better than over there ( and I'm in both). If they can't get a meaningful flow rate they are screwed. If we fail we can drill other projects albeit a year later. If we get one hit and sale that would go a long long way to funding one of the other projects keeping more % for hopefully a further success and sale. 8 Energy Limited ("88 Energy" or the “Company", ASX:88E, AIM:88E, OTC:EEENF) is pleased to
provide the following update related to its operations on the North Slope of Alaska.
Highlights
• Encouraging evidence of oil in down hole samples being investigated in laboratory
• Additional fluorescence recorded at previously unidentified depths
• Final payment of vendors in stock to be made
Details
88 Energy has recently received and finalised its review of the report related to the downhole sampling
program, that was undertaken during the logging of the Merlin-1 well using Halliburton’s Reservoir
Description Tool (“RDT”). As previously reported, observations from an optical fluid analysis sensor
had indicated the likely presence of oil in the formation fluid across several of the depths that were
sampled. As part of standard procedure, the pressure in the sample chambers was decreased to see
changes to the quantum and composition of the fluids at closer to normal surface conditions (known
as a “flash test”). Observations from a more accurate optical sensor were then made; however, this
data was in raw format and only verbal comments had been received by 88E, which indicated an
increased fraction of resins and asphaltenes, which can only be associated with the presence of oil.
The raw data has since been processed and presented in a final report from the RDT logging run.
These results are shown below for two of the samples where the pressure was taken to below 100psi
(atmospheric pressure is ~15psi), the pressure in the third sample was only decreased to 403ps
It was 2008 that the 3d was shot. It is now publicly available so 88e will no doubt have been looking at it. It looks like past drilling has been targeting structural features like folds and anticlines rather than just focusing on stratigraphic traps like most of the other Nanushuk . https://www.researchgate.net/publication/345999631_3D_seismic_reprocessing_for_geologic_interpretation_of_a_permafrost-bearing_petroleum_system_on_the_North_Slope_Alaska
You might get your wish on multiple drills Keefy. Next winter could be looking at drilling Harrier + sidetrack on Merlin. + 3D seismic survey on peregrine and you would think Umiat whilst we're there ( unless there's any historic seismic for Umiat seeing as linc spent 180m down there). + Umiat needs drilling by Aug 2022 to keep the lease. + Heavenly / Charlie farm out + Yukon /jade will be about ready to drill (delayed last time due to issue getting rig to site/barge gravel beach problems if I remember rightly)
Need multiple farm outs + $$$. Could do with a big boy farminee to take some of the on the ground organisational strain otherwise I can see Erik getting snowed under!
Still top 5 searched for stocks
