Maybe there is good news due at the AGM on 19-Mar-2019?

Maybe we will get a trading update by mid year (2018 update on 26 June). So if we get a trading update by mid year or maybe earlier, and progress is still impressive then £20 is definitely achievable imo.
I imagine the recent sp rise is due to growing confidence in Blue Prism's outlook for 2019 - but anything is possible.

It could be a sell - remember for every sell order there must be a buyer - and in this case it was significant buyer.

Blue Prism Group logo Blue Prism Group (LON:PRSM)‘s stock had its “buy” rating reissued by investment analysts at Numis Securities in a research note issued to investors on Tuesday. They presently have a GBX 2,020 ($26.39) target price on the stock. Numis Securities’ price objective indicates a potential upside of 66.94% from the stock’s previous close.

LON:PRSM opened at GBX 1,194.04 ($15.60) on Tuesday. Blue Prism Group has a 52-week low of GBX 425 ($5.55) and a 52-week high of GBX 1,756 ($22.95).

Very low volume again today - it seems most investors are sitting on the fence awaiting meaningful news before taking any action.

Retired Banker - those persons invested in the the shares of Blue Prism are looking to the future not the present - I see Blue Prism as being a bit like the early Amazon when it was not making money but was expanding very rapidly. I don't think 'normal' investing analysis works with tech companies who are innovators actually developing a new market which previously did not exist.
In my view Blue Prism has a significant foothold in a massively expanding market and already has secured many contracts with blue chip companies, and it is expanding its share for the market: - "The robotic process automation (RPA) market is expected to register a CAGR of over 26.34%, during the forecast period of 2018-2023."

Accenture used the Automation Anywhere RPA platform, not Blue Prism - and it was announced in May 2018: -

I see nothing of concern in this - there are several competitors to Blue Prism out there, but the size of the market is rapidly expanding and to accommodate the competition and Blue Prism is focused on adding new customers to enhance its market position.

I notice traded share volume is fairly light and sells outnumber the buys over the last week or so - but the share price has not declined. In my view most of the larger shareholders are not selling they are holding onto their shares for the future.
To me this is an indication of faith in the company's strategy and the expectation of solid ongoing growth in the future by the larger shareholders.

At around 2pm there could be a move to the upside - it is possible in my view because the Americans seem to be more enthusiastic investors in tech shares.

In my view the market is looking forward for Blue Prism’s prospects and is very pleased with the outlook – see below:-
• From yesterdays release: OUTLOOK The Board is encouraged by the exit monthly recurring revenue generated by the sales momentum in the financial year ended 31 October 2018, and as a result, expects revenue for the 2019 financial year to be in line with the improved expectations outlined in its trading update issued on the 27th November 2018
• From the Nov 2018 Trading Update: The Board is encouraged by the exit monthly recurring revenue generated by the sales momentum in the financial year ended 31 October 2018, and as a result, expects revenue for the 2019 financial year to be comfortably ahead of expectations. It is the intention of the Board to continue to prioritise investment for continued growth, and as such they currently expect EBITDA losses 1 for the 2019 financial year to exceed those in the 2018 financial year.

I did not see any reason to be negative about Blue Prism investing in massively expanding its customer base.

I expect a steady gain over the coming weeks based on the prospects for this year and the directors taking up a good slice of the placement shares.

There is a lot of negative sentiment because of Brexit, China Trade etc - however with a growing worldwide market I think Blue Prism has excellent prospects for 2019 whatever the Brexit and trade disruptions may bring.
Blue Prism's strategy is to invest in sales promotion in order to rapidly expand it's customer base - and this strategy is similar to what Amazon did very successfully.
The number of software contracts seems to double every six months or so and these contracts are recurring contracts which usually will generate licensing fees for years to come.
In my view Blue Prism's strategy is the right one - foregoing early profits for future rewards and market position, and their rapidly increasing customer base and number of contracts will reward investors who are stay the course.
2018 full year results are due January 24th - I expect continuing good news.

Today’s trading update for Blue Prism seems to be on track and basically as expected indicating good progress

2018 versus 2017 indications are that the customer base has doubled (477 versus 922 for 2018).

Revenues indicated as doubling:
Slightly ahead of expectations (from May 26 2018 – “The Board's compiled current consensus expectations are £47.5m recognised revenue and £18.9m adjusted EBITDA loss”) 24.5m versus maybe 50m for 2018.

Cash is also said to be strong and higher than expected (2017 was 16.3m).

EBITDA has risen “due to continued investments into the Group's growth strategy and increased sales commissions arising from the strong fourth quarter” – this indicates increasing momentum after year end on Oct 31st.

They now have a dozen offices worldwide and a strong sales setup, with no mention of competition problems (although there are several competitors).
