The mms do not play games as such but they do have different trading tactics - all they want is as much volume that the share warrants and a % cut of all trades - they are no different to supermarkets and special offers. But as well as they using their own stock to create a market, sometimes others can give them stock [or put in orders] which changes the trading profile - here the deflation on the buys points to some sell orders - probably at 16.5p or above.
Given they determine the L2 bod and ask parameter prices - the colour of trade is a function of where it sits in relation to these figures - red below the mean, blue above. If bid and ask quotes are not very precise - you get misreport trades.
Like now, L2 should be 16.25 v 16.75 - and if it was, all trade colours would be correct apart from any at 16.5.

Do dummy trades and that will tell you . - even a 16.5 trade

one or two sig holders de-risking abit - 250k on the ask keeps being topped up - these are not mm shares being sold as 260k, price shoots to over 21p [even after the bid drop just now & notice they dropped it without a FOK - all managed atm]

The only way to develop proper sustainable business overseas is as you say by symbiotic agreements with key entities - been like this for centuries - everyone knows - but doing it is the hard part. I have said previously, its SA that's got my attention - really sig.
