RE: Hurricane Damage6 Sep 2019 19:25
PoC, I’m not saying this is a lost cause, I’m saying it’s going to be a lot quieter, a lot lot quieter and there will be a resultant knock on effect to things like an undervaluation of the Company, resulting in potential larger placings and slippage in dates, etc. All this is understandable. No one can argue against the fact it is now much more difficult to do business in the Bahamas, either because of the additional pressure now placed on physical constraints like airports or bureaucracy as small and limited government cope. Anyone who dismisses these issues is a fool.
No company, or individual, is going to stick their head above the parapet and start lauding with enthusiasm the fortunes of quite frankly anything, until the full picture is known on Dorian. The mood is going to be somber for some time.
Aside from obtaining permits from a government which has a lot on its plate then yes, there are probably very few physical impediments to drilling caused by the hurricane but there is now an enormous public outpouring of emotion to manage and this will mean everyone is walking on eggshells for a good period to come.
