CANG definitely looks interesting. Shareholder approval for the sale of their legacy online car platform for $352m went through last week and the SP hasn't moved (yet).

Looks like it has heavy links to Bitmain, which might be worth a punt in itself. Let alone the HODL making up 75% of their MCAP currently + presumably this $352m cash from sale + 32EH soon to be 50EH. Enterprise value = negative $250m 😂

Loving Bitdeer also for the remainder of this bullrun. It has run fastest out of all the established miners since April. They are adding EH on a weekly basis, now their Seal Miners are in mass production. Could land a HPC deal any moment. CIFR also look like they could land a HPC deal this year. Do think WULF will run decently aswell and HUT.

And did take a punt on SWC yesterday. Hadn't read this forum for abit, while btc took a dive...wish I'd spotted it earlier! Saw somebody tipping it, reading back. 10+ bagger already. Looks like they have the right connections for access to cheap capital. Think it will be a solid runner over the next 3-6 months.

Wow, what a bad investment miners have turned out to be this cycle. Trading in and out was the way, but even that has proved perilous this past 5-6 months. Should have seen it coming really. Mining is such a tough business to be in. If btc price goes up, so does the difficulty. Miners are on a hiding to nothing, on the asics hamster wheel. The only way to compete is with next to nothing energy costs.

I think there will be a big cull in listed miners by the time the next halving arrives. Investors aren't going to keep eating the dilution. And it wouldn't surprise me to see nation states mining, with free energy, like El Salvador and the volcano project.

The only potential rays of sunshine I can see are CORZ, WULF and BTBT because they have HPC deals in place. And BTDR, who possibly having the biggest upside of all, with their chip development. The rest are likely going bankrupt imo. I do think we'll have another run though for the next 6 months. Blo0dy hope so anyway!

Directors have gotten very wealthy from their bonus and salary over the years, all whilst doing what they love, supporting crypto projects at the beginning. SHs are left with crumbs. Less than crumbs....crumbs that cost them an arm and a leg.

When you zoom out, it is amazing this type of setup continues to find from retail investors, after 8 years is it, of being listed? At least they aren't fundraising twice a year like most of the other sorry state of listed small caps I suppose.

I wonder if mgmt ever feel guilty of taking LITERALLY ALL of the white meat and leaving LITERALLY ZERO to SHs.

I do agree HarChris that training/education will be one of the main applications for VR, so yes true, the hardware doesn't necessarily need to go mainstream for this company to succeed.

As you say, they need to provide more regular updates, with more meat on the bones. They are at the other end of the spectrum when it comes to AIM 'ramping' self promotion, which is something I've always liked, they seem a genuine company, but they do need to up the PR.

The only immediate downside is obviously a fundraise at this valuation. And the opportunity cost of holding and it going sideways for 6-12 months, whilst the US market goes on a run.

All that said, I do agree the valuation is ridiculous. They need to get to break even asap as any fund raise will be painful at this valuation. If the owners forgo a salary this year, would get them there much quicker.

They announced the 7 figure Middle East deal in Feb, 10 months ago. They are still waiting for all of that deal to be fully operational and generating revenue it sounds like, which highlights the long sales process in these deals. Is that the market they operate in, or EVR commercial savvy not having ducks lined up? We're left guessing as there is no detail. If deals get announced next week, are they going to take 12 months + for revenue to be recognised aswell?

Growth is very slow and and it is waiting for its tipping point. I've said before but IMO the valuation is because of general VR market optics and adoption, or lack of, which this company is tied to.

As far as quoting broker notes, I know the tendency is look for positives, especially when under water, but these things are worthless at the best of times, lets be honest. Sentiment is everything and if we started to see real signs of VR catching on, this would move the SP more than anything else (by a mile imo). I'm sure that moment will come but who knows when. Might be 5 years from now.

Well yes David and Sandra did buy, but was very small amounts. And Seamus even smaller. They are taking home £500k a year and they brought about £25k worth of shares was it? And their 15% were founding shares I am guessing?

True. I know the Directors said they were taking a pay cut, whilst the business remained unprofitable. Did they disclose what % pay cut they took? Be nice for them to buy shares at these levels aswell, given their weighty collective salaries over the past 5+ years, over £2m in salaries I would guess?

So what has happened here? Anybody in the know with any updates? It surely can't be that easy to just drift off into the abyss...

All very true Chris but they have been working with these partners for awhile now. Eyes will be on to what degree are existing clients increasing spend in the Trading Update.

I do think this company has a bright future, which is why I'm still following. But I look at US stocks, and it is hard to justify moving money away from there into AIM at the moment. They are thriving and rip off Britain is in reverse.

Training and learning is a great application for VR and does definitely work and will be the future I'm do believe. As I say, it is how soon this happens for EXR.

I'll be honest, I've been very tempted and nearly hit the buy button here a couple of times, but not yet done it, as it is stupidly cheap but I have been burnt on AIM too many times. What seemed like good companies turned out to be a mirage. In fairness though, this company has never come with the hype and ramping from the usual suspects / twitter crew.

Longfell - VR will succeed and become mainstream, no doubt about it. But how soon that happens is the key. If it takes another 12 months, great for EXR. If it takes another 3 years +, well then EXR are probably done for, or at least the shareholders will be. I invested here back in 2018, along with Melody VR and was too soon. If you'd asked me then, would VR be mainstream by 2024, I would have been 99% sure it would be, but here we are.

Panda - that sounds encouraging but the other Quests sold out too initially I believe. Until there are a drastic improvement in the hardware, making it more comfortable etc, then I don't see any change in VR adoption anytime soon. You will always get the tech heads who love this stuff but breaking through to the mainstream as an every day product, that is something very different.

Just my opinion and is the main reason imo for the SP performance here.

Whilst I don't think lack of comms and taking big salaries helps, the reason for the SP malaise imo is that the market doesn't think VR is going to take off anytime soon. This company is tied to whether VR takes off or not and no matter how impressive the demos look, it needs to hit mainstream. If it does then this will be 100 bagger potential from these levels, but the market doesn't look like it believes VR is hitting the mainstream any time soon. I wonder how many SHs have tried the latest VR hardware and what they think of it. I've not tried it for a couple of years, but it was too bulky and not comfortable to wear. Not to mention the motion sickness element.

Correct Bennster. How many RNSs did this company have that amounted to nothing. Investors never stood a chance. If a company is allowed to get away with that, then what is the point of RNSs? I remember upping my stakes after the Japan RNS, when looking at it now, no gigs ever came or line ups ever mentioned, no money ever seen and no explanation ever from the company or any other mention of that deal.

This company is not alone in this behaviour and anybody still investing in this AIM market needs to give their heads a wobble. I've said it before, the whole thing is a mirage in the desert. Just sorry it took me a 6 figures loss and 5 years to work that out.

I agree with what your saying BigBite - more and more training and education is being delivered remotely and that trend will continue, and VR drastically improves that remote experience, no doubt. This company is dependant on VR being adopted though, and students wanting to see the hardware as an every day thing, not pick up and put down leave in a drawer for a few month, and for that to happen, the hardware needs to become lighter and more comfortable, as Felix says.

I saw a few years back that the battery was going to be around the waist, which would make the headwear less clunky, but it hasn't happened. It needs to be like wearing a pair of glasses imo.

I won't even open the can of worms that is what health implications are there to having a high powered piece of wireless hardware strapped to your brain. Considering mobile phone safety use says don't hold to your head for more than 5 minutes per day and use the speaker.

What was the price point of the previous Quest on launch?

I have followed VR for 6+ years now and until they can get rid of the clunky headsets, I don't see it filtering into the mainstream. These things are not pleasant to wear, after longer than 30 minutes. People who weren't buying Quest 2, are not going to buy Quest 3 because its £100 cheaper. My best guess is VR still at gimmick stage unfortunately at the market knows it.

Does anybody know what the detail is on the salary cuts? Why aren't they shouting about this, if they actioned it in the middle of the year?

Piddly growth numbers. They seem to be doing all the right things but looks like a slow grind. The 400% increase customer, would expect to have seen more of this, as the spends won't have started out massive, but looks like VR is still in the gimmick stage. Directors need to make much bigger buys at these levels than the recent buys, considering they're collectively taking home 500k Euros p.a.
