Surely if you make a loss of say £1000 you set that against a gain of £1000 but if you would pay 20% of that gain in tax then you avoid paying £200 to the tax man. But in that example you have still lost £800net. As my gains are all in an ISA this is not my problem. Can someone please educate me here, many thanks. JJ

Is the next step followed by a fund raise; even if you are tempted to buy today, hold fire and review after the fund raise. If you think VAST shares are cheap today they are going to become even cheaper IMHO. Good luck. JJ

He is the worse type of boss, easily distracted and not focused on the important stuff. Until the finance is properly sorted VAST cannot be seen as a 'buy' and at best is a gamble. A bit like keeping your savings in a wheelie bin. JJ

I hold 5 AIM stocks and currently the best performer is TRX so I'm happy with that. However I don't understand why its not trading around £1 now as the performance has been steadily improving but the share price is not IMO reflecting this. We seem to be overdue for a rerate. Or am I missing something? JJ

Batmen, my experience is that 'shorters' can play games and they may increase at any stage. This has been the case with MTRO over the last 5 years or more. Good luck. JJ

Its going to be the New Year before we can say how METRO is going to operate in the new climate of lower interest rates and post the Labour 'painful budget'. From past experience I suggest the share price may well drop 20/30% until FYR are declared. JJ

Its always good to take a profit. My investment here is modest and for the moment I will continue to hold. I have tended to be a lazy Waitrose shopper but have found the fresh fruit and veg with Tesco is much better, as well as cheaper. TSCO are getting it right IMO which may take us to £4 late in 2024 or in the New Year. For me its definitely a hold. JJ

Not a good time to buy with consolidation very likely which will see your investment fall in value. You have only to look at previous consolidations carried out by VAST. And after consolidation VAST will create more new shares to raise funds. All based on my experience with VAST. Please heed my health warning. JJ

Buying back shares for cancellation should in theory lead to a rise in the share price. There is no reason to believe that £3.50 is a ceiling so I hope for more buy backs even if the share continues to head toward £4. JJ
