Shame the company couldn’t change minor contact details, especially at the high annual administration costs.
Luckily the fundamentals remain with the music industry worth £50mil, if Napster/MelodyVR’s new app gets just 2% of the market then we are a effectively billion pound company. Current Mcap is just 75mil, cheap.

Senior Officer no doubt filled his boots before releasing the good news.
CLN raise makes sense to me. Raising the amount required would have likely meant a huge discount, the CLN strategy is a good one when expecting the SP to go up. I’m assuming (and hoping) that there is a decent strategy in place regarding news flow which there is huge opportunity for. Likely still a long way off huge live events, artists with no gigs planned, huge oculus sales potentially linking to increased user numbers etc etc. It’s a great opportunity to make the Napster app known again and makes sense not to unveil anything until the name change.
What I don’t understand is the additional raise at 3.3p for which there didn’t appear a target amount for.
I think you need to blame the uptake of VR Horsey. The recent Oculus upgrade, increased sales and imminent arrival of Apple into the space changes things. Look at Dev as an example.
Whispers of 1 million viewers? Quite a statement that... any chance you could elaborate further please?
Watched some YouTube videos revising the Oculus 2 last night... might treat myself for Xmas.
Was nice to see the big red MelodyVR icon right next to Netflix and YouTube on the home screen. Does anybody know if the oculus 2 has Melody on their home screen as standard?
Re Xmas lineup; I think it’s too late in the day now.
I’ve had a read through some of the very unhelpful drivel posted on this board recently.
Few things I look for in stocks... growth potential, director buys, buying at placing price.
- VR market has huge growth potential with massive tech firms currently investing heavily.
- LG gig was an eye opener, potentially huge revenue to be generated by one off gigs that can be watched from anywhere around the world.
- The directors buying nearly £1,000,000 at the current SP is something that cannot be ignored.
Even have the benefit of some nice RNSs coming our way to ensure the SP is over 4.3 in a couple of weeks!
This is an easy one.
Puddin, claims to to be twitter’s Mazza and short.
Mazza posted on Twitter yesterday explaining he is long at an average of 3.8 (also says a lot of daft things which has made him a target for several clown face icons on most of his posts).
Clearly a liar... also cant spell.
Please could someone explain to me how to filter?
Couldn’t find it on mine Pud... you are scraping the barrel now. Poor lad
Never trust someone who gets their “theres” wrong
Social media exploding, clearly a lot of attendees!
Show worked seamlessly for me, even the girlfriend who “was not looking forwards to the show at all” loved it! I’m hoping for more shows with stunning backdrops... also hoping for the app to work on a smart tv to save hooking up to a laptop.
Fair point Deadcross, just a quick exercise out of interest. Even if 10% of those that visited the site were there to buy a ticket it’s good numbers.
Having a quick look on a website called SimilarWeb, if you sign up it shows you website performance and number of hits. Ticketmaster have had 82.6k hits today, 70.8k hits yesterday and 69,414 day prior.
... not a whole lot of reasons to visit ticketmaster at the minute given gigs are few and far between although a few socially distanced options are available in theatres.
Total visits in the last 28 days: 1.966 million.
People are either turning up for LG tickets, booking to see Bill Bailey with 20 others or something at risk in the spring. Be interesting to see what the figures are tomorrow (if accurate).
Just had a search around the internet for the reaction of RNWK share holders to their sale of Napster to gauge if they saw it as a positive to their company, a few reactions can be found by scrolling backwards on the below thread:
https://stocktwits.com/symbol/RNWK
Mixed bag although quite a few saw it as a big loss and sold too cheaply which has to be a positive for us. A few of my favourites:
"revenues of Napster were 23m June 2020 ytd.. 70m sounds cheap"
"take my shares... sell orders going in"
"this is *ucking ridiculous"
Very positive response on social media of tonight’s gig, not one negative comment and many positives.
Lord,
From half an hours Google I found 4 examples of reverse takeovers on LON shares... again, I wouldn't look into this too much as was a quick exercise out of curiosity and circumstances likely very different.
Open Orphan went up 234% from 2.65 to 6.2
Hawkwing went up 2000% from 0.4 to 8
Solo Oil fell 372% from 2.42 to 0.65 (this one fell through)
Audioboom fell 40% from 360 to 217 (this one also fell through)
very difficult to know what this will open at. Having looked at other reverse takeovers, the SP has risen substantially although appreciate the circumstances are different with all.
I’m certainly glad I’m in as oppose to out... and even more glad I’m not short!!
Just had a quick look at the Tori Kelly live from LA show on YouTube which was uploaded 5 hours ago. 18k views with 2.8k likes to 18 dislikes. Judging from that ratio, the show was well received.
Those figures will be handy when pitching for the ad supported initiatives Melody mentioned in the 30th June RNS when they referenced the live from LA series.
New artist announcement at the LA studio, playing 19th Aug. 3.4 million Instagram followers.
Introduction of the headset is a big step forward here IMO. Whilst the mobile 360 viewing is different a has some positives, we all know the true value lies in the VR aspect of making you feel like you’re there. Also positive to see a reasonable price... Be nice to see some incentive to purchase this, one free gig with every headset maybe?
