Char333 - I really struggle to see the point of your posts. They contain nothing of any value whatsoever to any other reader - can't you go and do some gardening or something productive instead?
If you look at the wider FTSE, it is currently stuck in a trading range - so logically, most of its constituent elements are also bound within a range until something changes (financial news or events).
Why are you only interested in "never ending excuses and reasons?" If you don't like them / don't believe them just move on -all forums contain different views - just choose your own. If the price goes up on results you aren't interested - a weird point of view for a share holder.
I agree that we're unlikely to hit £20 anytime soon - but then 4 years ago I didn't think we'd hit £12 so what do I know.
Ask a question, give a view, post a graph - don't just moan.

And what plan would you suggest LW?

Not an easy place to do business and not an easy political regime to agreement payment terms with.
If you don't like it, invest elsewhere or write to Genel with your miracle plan. Not sure how helpful public whining is.

"Crap" and "Blah" are top technical terms - you must do a lot of research to inform your poor share choices.

I added another 1500 yesterday as well.
Thought I'd mistimed it when I saw today's overall index figures but for DEC to only drop 0.19% when the FTSE is down 1.7% can almost be viewed as a positive. Thankful for any small mercies here.

Slight reality check:

Low cost production - not compared to oilers in KRG and other "risky areas."
Diversified portfolio - Yep
One of largest LNG provider in world - Yep.
Price of oil - same for all oil producers
Price of Gas - same for all gas producers
New energy projects - Yep.
Lowering debt - think everyone doing that with rising oil revenues
Increasing dividend - from a very low position - slowly regaining dividend perhaps
Potential buy backs - vs reducing debt / increasing dividend - doubt we'll get all 3
Lack of global investment in oil - as per all oil companies.
Americas trillions of dollar stimulas - same for all oil companies - arguably better for US ones.
World Class management team - evidence of this lacking over recent years.
End of Covid restrictions worldwide - same for all oil companies
Low share price - weak share price, needing to recover before rising for most shareholders

Looking good - but not as rosy as you intimate. All oil companies chasing less institutional money due to ESG strategies.

RNS detailing completion of the Blackbeard deal today - 0705, 5 minutes after the Tanos conditional acquisition RNS.
Completed deal overshadowed by next acquisition - might have been better to leave a day between RNS issues to allow market to take them in separately.

HSD and XPB - nice to see a difference in opinion expressed so logically and politely. A clear step above most other contributors on other share forums. Keep it going.
For other posters, you may not like XPB's point of view (negative or realistic depending on your personal view) but there isn't yet any evidence to prove he's wrong- Yet! Time will tell.

Currently reading a fantastic book called Touch Wood by Duncan Hamilton (54 Le Mans winner) - what a different way of life it was in the 50s if you had some money :-) Great read if you want to spend a bit of your dividend money on a book.

It would be interesting to know (not that we ever will) whether G are playing with output levels as part of payment negotiations / gas licensing progress etc etc.
There must be a few steps in production where a maximum output is reached for a given spend and then any further output requires more spend (whether that's more drills, more pumps, more operators etc etc).
Personally I'd be adjusting output rates (and hence KRG cashflow) as a negotiating lever.

Stevebt - ethanol gives less power than petrol - scientific fact.
But - it does burn cooler therefore allowing you to run higher compression engines and play with other factors to produce more power - but that depends on a whole load of other work.
Who got their road car re-mapped when we went to 5%?
The irony is that as 10% ethanol fuel gives less power, you need to burn more, so mileage/gallon will reduce meaning we all use more fuel - Not sure that's a Green result.

But if the second leg up (ie point 2 to point 3) is less steep than first leg up and third leg up doesn't that ruin the theory?
As you say, probably simpler to refit the waves to suit history rather than predict what is going to happen (unless you discount all fundamentals, KRG paying or not and price of oil).

Because they are accepting it is a fault with their brokers. You keep insisting it is a DEC issue, it is not. The issue is how some brokers (a minority) deal with UK /US tax legislation.
How hard is that to understand?

It doesn't mean all others are OK, individual manufacturer's list info for their bikes. As an example all Hondas post 1980 are also OK except for some of the early mopeds.
You need to check for your particular vehicle - but in general it will not be as significant as being touted on here (an investment site, not a fuel science site). Classic bike and car owners (and I'm one) have been running superunleaded with additives for years to avoid the water absorption / carb issues with ethanol mentioned previously.

Nomad, some erroneous stuff on here so don't fear. HD say all models since 1980 can run on 10% ethanol so unless you've got a knucklehead or similar no worries.
In any event, super unleaded will remain at 5%.
Stevebt - 10% ethanol will give you less power not more so no insurance worries.
Only concern is water absorption and impact on seals / rubbers / plastics - but stick to superunleaded and all will be well (albeit a bit more expensive - get to Tesco). Think one of the super unleadeds (Esso?) is still at zero ethanol.

Charles - would be interested in why you have decided to hold BP and RDSB. Surely they are so similar one is going to be better than the other - or is it just splitting your risk?
I hold RDSB, Genel and DEC - but think the risk / reward across the 3 is very different.
RDSB - thought would be stable share price and dividend - mmmmm, that didn't pan out as expected!
Genel - lower costs hence higher profits but more risk - would have worked if KRG paid for their oil!
DEC - known, cheap assets and high cash generation and distribution as dividend. - working better.

Mine was going to be a slightly more sarcastic, today's high price equals tomorrow's higher hedge price!
Of course DEC benefits from higher gas prices, partially today but way more tomorrow, next year. The price of extraction / transportation hasn't changed.
Forward looking cash flows (and hence dividend cover) getting better and better.

Happily, I thought the RNS was more clearly worded than previous examples.
They clearly told us what the payment was for (it's been a bit blurred previously).
They were honest about the balance outstanding.
Money and clarity - that's what we want.

Shame Genel can't produce a non-critical RNS just explaining the rationale behind late, delayed, postponed or cancelled payments and a route to correction. If shareholders (and more importantly potential shareholders) had the reasons and a realistic recovery plan we might get back on track with realistic Brent multiples.
