Although there are some bigger trades out there, I couldn't get a quote (via HL) for more than £1000 worth this morning. Tried for 20 minutes between 0900-0920 ish - only way I could get a quote was two £900 deals. Managed to get in at 1.19 but missed the early lows.
Guess there can't be too many large sellers out there - so given that and rising SP looks like we may hang around this level for a while.

I can see that the KRG have lost the last 2 arbitration cases and have had large awards made against them. What I can't find is any evidence that even after the arbitration was complete that they actually paid up!
We've said all along that expecting rational behaviour from a complex political system with many differing priorities and loyalties was a leap of faith.
Don't really see what else Genel could do under the circumstances - you have to make a stand at some point.

To be fair. XPB isn’t being negative. He’s continuing his long held view that although V’s tech might be good they’re not much kop at fund raising or project management. No evidence to disprove his assertions yet. Time will tell.

They are trying to get ahead of methane legislation, latest RNS announces $9M over 3 years for aerial methane detection flights. This will allow prioritisation of effort in the correct area and also shows politicians and investors that DEC are trying - again most wells weren't started by them and if DEC weren't doing the plugging it would likely be at public expense.
Hopefully compliance with methane leak rectification and well plugging will all become something more than merely an operating expense in tax terms.

Quite interested in this share but not at a 7% spread - is this normal?
Yes I know it's AIM but two similar shares I've just checked have 3% and 1% spreads today.
Are we in a particularly volatile period or are MMs just taking buyer and sellers for a ride?

After months of watching conflicting views from the side-lines I'm finally in based on the fact that if £25M had been invested by larger institutions with better research capabilities than mine. If they all think 8p is a fair price for a developing technology that admittedly may need more funding in the future then I'll give it a go.
Buy order for 7.99 filled for first tranche on Friday and a doubling of investment today at 8.08.
As other posters have said I don't see why anybody would be selling at less than 8p in the near future - they've either bought above that price or chose not to sell as it rose through 8p on its way to 15p.

$1.7 Bn attributed to asset retirement (plugging wells) estimated as 2.9% ARO liability on the balance sheet.

Rate (ie wells / year) might increase following latest ESG interest so this might increase slightly..

Trying to balance GENL, DEC and RDSB holdings with Green start ups.
Have today started using fossil dividends to buy into Velocys, Getech and EQT (not recommendations DYOR etc etc). If I'm personally helping green start ups with fossil fuel derived income then the big companies can also do it.
Obviously hoping to make a profit as well - I'm not stupid!

That won't be encouraging buyers or sellers.

Not necessarily a single investor - far more likely to be multiple investors chucking in a portion of the £25M each.
So not one person willing to invest lots of money but lots of medium sized investments all of which will have looked closely at figures / strategy / risk and made an estimate of future profitability. Many heads better than one!

XPB - I've been watching your debate with HElloSanDiego for 6 months whilst I've sat on the side-lines trying to pick an entry point. Eventually decided it might be worth a punt at sub 5p so missed latest rise and still on the side-lines.
The RNS says £25m will be from Institutional Investors, so you'd assume better due diligence and knowledge than the average PI - only £2m from current holders - who I agree look like they're going to get ripped off by the company they've invested in.
If the Institutions are chucking £25m in they must see something that promises a return at some point.

Not a surprise really, GETECH did similar earlier this year.
All these AIM Companies without current revenue streams have to raise the money somehow - it's either institutional lending at high rates (as it's high risk) or extra placings.
This is where Govt action would facilitate green start ups / embryonic companies - secured Govt loans at normal market rates. Placings just disillusion holders especially on terms like 2 for each 85 held.

Watched Mad Max beyond Thunderdome last night, had forgotten BorderTown was run on methane from the pigs - so not all bad.
Green research continues but picking entry point for AIM stocks is a minefield.

Anyone understand some of the tiny trades on this today? Lots of "normal" PI type sizes and several bigger ones both buy and sell but also lots of trades for under £100 - given trading costs what is the point of this? Don't think it's just testing the market but don't understand why you'd buy 15 shares @ 9p.

Depends on your perspective - 2 half BSDs on consecutive days much appreciated and could be a second place. :-)

Think lowest buy was 103.4 so close but no cigar.
Also thinking that perhaps I should move new money into "greener" stocks to rebalance portfolio a bit. VLS and EQT both look interesting but at slightly abnormal highs at present following recent news. Perhaps time to look away from dividends and look for long term growth following public opinion.
Mind you will keep existing DEC holdings as I think it'll continue to move about between 100 and 120 with a nice dividend for a while yet.
