I’m all sold up at 2376 this morning. Will buy back in if it drops back to mid 2200s.

Can you directly compare outputs from similar weights of vastly different feedstocks?
Plus differences in volume / density and handling and transport costs etc - think it's a bit more complex than your like for like comparison.

HL not as good as it used to be. In a clear attempt to keep charges down they have reduced information on site. They used to have broker reports, averaged broker prices, details of recent trades, trade levels for the day etc etc - all gone now. So same price but much worse service. Expensive for frequent traders as well.

It’s only a simple model if the resources don’t run out! Recent RNSs have all been disappointing with new wells being unsuccessful and reserves being written down.

My post was about the delayed market reaction to the acquisition - seemed to take 2/3 days for the price to increase reflecting the additional value / income.
Agree gas prices / shortage might be the reason behind a drift up but the step change was days after the news.

I'd also add some green acquisitions to Casapino's list.
Shell need to get some simple messages across:
- Russia withdrawal has cost us (BP saying it has made little difference to shareholders and is just an accounting issue hasn't helped).
- we can be part of the solution spending private money on going green (hydrogen, waste to SAF etc etc)
- we need to comply with Dutch Court net zero ruing
- North sea drilling gives us energy security
- a healthy Shell is good for UK

Strange how the market lags the news on DEC.
Well, unless the news is a Micky mouse Bloomberg report.

Discussion on the papers whether Shel buying Russian oil under “Latvian blend” name - not going to win us any popularity prizes. Also, personal accountability of BoD for emissions targets a subject for further discussion.
Think the 2 bad stories and general pressure on oilers today are outweighing the one good story (and all logic).

I can understand both these points of view.
There is undoubtably much potential here but is the cashflow being best managed to achieve profit from this potential?
At what point do EQT rein in spending to match income and allow debt reduction and positive cashflow. Don’t suggest it is now but it has to be at some point.
Even if income was £25M a year but we were spending £30M on new incubations this is unsustainable.

I don’t misunderstand at all thanks. My point (perhaps made too simplistically) was that they need to pay for all sorts of things months before they submit an invoice, never mind actually get paid.

But they do need more money to fund start up projects to prove their business model. In the absence of magic money trees, it’s either a rights issue or a loan.

Have been hovering over the top up button for a few weeks now - hoping for sub 0.8p.

Spread seems to have been bouncing about between 10 per cent and about 4 per cent - looks like a buy order was the best way in. Well, assuming tomorrow isn't a Red day all round.

In answer to "what can turn this around" - Simples! They need actual income, rather than promises of future income and continued debt based expenditure. As soon as some deals are finished and payments received they'll be a successful company rather than one with some great ideas and early projects funded by debt - but that's what AIM companies are all about.

Simms, although the interest may be fixed at 7.5% there are also two additional fixed charges of 2.5% each. So actual cost is 12.5%. factoring the risk of not being repaid.
