Tonlin - that is dandy, however those were AM's words. As some posters have alluded to, JV negotiations could have started in January after FD discovery. Ryan has been banging the RBL drum for months, so he should be in the final furlong.

AM is probably waiting to announce both events under the same RNS, to maximise the effect on the SP.

AM has stated this month for RBL/JV, so the gloom and doom merchants can sit on their hands for the next two weeks.

This was the focal point of the purchase:

This very much reminds me of Oil Search's purchase of Armstrong assets in Alaska in 2017:

The original purchase in 2017 took nine months to negotiate in a low price environment - I was invested in 88E at the time, & the COPL position feels similar IMHO.

A JV will hopefully be aa long term arrangement, & therefore the kudos of a reputable oiler will be pivotal.

Did AM not say JV & RBL this month. With current spiralling inflation, our new loan needs sorting yesterday.

If these two issues are sorted quickly, then the SP will be on a different planet IMHO.

COPL has been approached by a large recognized oil company
regarding a JV to delineate and develop the discovery, with
discussions continuing
• COPL is permitting 16 delineation wells at a spacing of one well per
square mile for Phase 1 of the delineation
• The first 2 horizontal wells will be drilled commencing in January
2023 targeting Contingent Resources in the Frontier 2 Fm.

As AM alluded to, FD is too big for COPl to develop. A farminee is required, it's just a question of who!
