RE: A cautionary tale from Zambian copper mining18 Sep 2025 10:00
Ll I can see is a green box , I know who's green box it is because I don't have anyone else filtered.
I assume it was a post about me knowing nowt.
My post wasn't meant to be negative though, even if it wasn't completely correct.
As the website says and I quote :
"Xtract Resources PLC is a UK-based resource exploration and development company focussed on the discovery and advancement of copper and critical battery metal projects. The company leverages strategic joint-venture partnerships, proven geological models and technical expertise to unlock value across high-potential assets."
As it says, it's focussed on discovery and advancement of the projects, CB want's to prove up SK and sell it on, Cooper Lemon don't hence the complicated % scenarios. Granted the Morocco punt may well include actual production hence me saying my post wasn't completely correct.
I don't think we will be going mining in Zambia, just my personal take on it.
CB is in his 80's I don't think he's looking for at least a year to set up a mine ( and the costs !) to have a drip feed like we got from Manica,I don't think he's going to be building tailings dams in Zambia with XTR. He want's a Big Bang results, lump sums from asset sales etc.
I don't blame him, so do I.
