I too read the research early yesterday morning after my attention had been drawn to it by that "well known journo". I sold my holding immediately because whether the analysis was true or not, the price was bound to fall. I have held for almost a year & made a gain of 33% which is entirely satisfactory.
I put the money into BUR immediately since it had been heavily marked down because of Woodford.
The study is double-blinded, meaning neither the volunteers nor the experimenters know who is receiving a particular treatment, to prevent any bias. For this reason, SkinBioTherapeutics will need the full dataset before it can be 'unblinded' for statistical analysis. The data will then be assessed to determine effectiveness - whether the SkinBiotix® technology retains the same beneficial property of improving skin health when in a cream formulation.
I do think you are being a little unfair to Hot Stock Rockets. If you do YOUR research, you will see that over the last 3.5 years or so, Share Prophets have written some 37 articles covering FLX offering many different views. In reply to your question "Who writes this stuff", it is stated that it is written by the HSR team which I take to mean journalists employed by SP. You're not compelled to buy his recommendations & you might bear in mind that TW admits his mistakes. His website has, over the last few years, made me substantial gains on numerous companies but even more importantly has been the money I have SAVED by selling a few of the stocks I already owned. Many of these bought as a result of reading the IC. Being in the news at the moment is GENEL now around 60p, I got out at around 900p for a small loss.
Look at the spread!!
In my case, I will have to sell something within my ISA in order to provide sufficient funds to take up the rights. It will probably be an investment without a significant yield so that I can buy it back outside the ISA without incurring a tax liability. A reverse B&B if you like!
I have been a holder for quite some time & it is indeed the best performer currently in my portfolio. None the less I'm a bit of an ignoramus & wonder why it is that the shares have a fairly substantial BUY/SELL spread. Anyone there who knows why?
It might be of interest to those of you who haven't seen it, to take a look at the recent comments by Paul Scott in his "Small Cap Value Report" in Stockopedia (Nov 9th, I think). He says basically that he wouldn't touch it because of it's accounting policies, i.e." the agressive capitalization of costs into intangible assets". That was the final nail that persuaded me to sell a week or so ago.
Come on chaps, do the sensible thing, sign up to Shareprophets. TW has been warning about this company for ages & QPP & Naibu etc ad infinitum. If you read his articles, like me, you would not only make money but save it as well.
that I understood the reason for the rather large spread. It puts me off investing here. Is that the idea & if so why?
It seems to me that comment on bulletin boards is more often than not, ill-informed and this management seems to be doing a remarkable job without help from us.
Sorry to be dim, but who is RHPS?
UP 11.11% already BUT with a 17.39% spread
My little purchase of 8000 shares just before 0900 is shown a a Sell. I think this is because I use HL who often seem to obtain a better price.
It was not Share Prophets "hyping" this share, but VSA capital initiating coverage. Share Prophets re-published the report without any comment that I saw. You could argue, I suppose that by publishing the report, they were hyping it but equally one could argue that Share Prophets were doing their job by drawing the attention of their customers to items that might be of interest to them. I am one of those customers & I was interested. Perhaps you should DYOR a little more carefully, but then maybe you have your own agenda !
At the risk of overdoing the mentions of Andes I note that the figures are out today, that however, is not the point. After Exxon’s discovery yesterday I note that Chevron have added to the spice by saying ‘Argentina can be the next hot spot for large scale developments’ and that the corporation plans to scale up in the Vaca Muerta. At 50p I think these shares have potential huge upside and the acreage in the Vaca Muerta whilst being far from all of Andes’ assets would be worth several times the current share price on its own.
Could somebody tell me who or what RHPS is?
A suggestion today by Simon Thompson in the IC that a promotion to the FTSE 250 may be imminent.
