Redtrader, you are right, you are thick. Shaun didnt conflate at all, he clarified. Some had assumed that the decline was all of the 1500m when it was first reported. He clarified it by saying it was 1300m of decline and 200m of passing bays etc.

If you mean by politicians, those that have a fiduciary duty to run both NC and GGP and are bound by common law and the reporting requirements of the ASX and the London Stock Exchange, then if you choose not to believe them, I think you had better have a chat with Him upstairs...

We are ahead of schedule. We raised way more than enough to get to first ore. In fact we raised so much that we have plenty should NC decide to ramp up the spend, which is unlikely.

Do you really think that it makes any difference whether the decline is 1300m on 25 Jan or more than 1500 at Feb 15th? Shaun said last week that the decline is ahead of schedule. Thats really all you need to know.
Newcrest would like to put out an announcement twice a year. You seem to want one daily?
Yesterday I invited the doomsters and gloomsters to articulate what Shaun has done wrong and what he should have done and hasnt, so that we could have a mature debate. So far nothing, bar he could buy a few shares. If you look at his exposure to the company I think you will find its far in excess of most investors here, which is what you would expect.

If you want to have a proper debate, maybe the Shaun/GGP doubters could list all the things he has done wrong, or hasnt done right and we will be able to discuss that? Please remember one thing, Shaun doesnt manage the share price, he manages the business.

Given the company is in the cross hairs of NM, that was an unbelievably boring and dull presentation lacking any reasons why an investor should not be praying for a higher bid from NM. Sounds like they gave up when Sandeep ‘retired’.

Matty and Antigua. I really don’t get your paranoia. Are you suggesting that you don’t want Shaun to do any deal that is accretive to the sp if it means issuing anymore shares? If that’s the case, then you don’t understand how to grow a company.
I think Shaun has made it abundantly clear that unless there is a compelling deal it will be a compliance listing.

They have offered NM a non exclusive look at some non public data, though it doesn’t say that NM have accepted. They have rejected both offers on grounds of price.
From all this I would say that an improved offer will get NCs acceptance.

It’s certainly not an INITIAL public offering, so IPO is the wrong terminology. It’s a secondary listing. But a lot if people call all listings IPOs these days.

Their half yearly results are out tonight and some people are expecting them to say something about the NM bid. There is also a conf call at 10am, AEDT which I believe is 11pm. Very much doubt they will mention Solgold as they never do, but you could always ask a question in the q&a.

If you like, and are brave enough, which I very much doubt, you could turn up at the next Town Hall meeting and tell us all what he should be doing rather than the brilliant moves that he has made to date.

Seems a few on here are confusing share dilution with value dilution as LA so rightly points out.
We have asset accretion atm and if we did a deal for rest of Hav and Telfer we would have massive asset accretion and some significant share dilution but the asset per share would increase considerably so net net, much better for shareholders.
Another thing that should be said is that the first rule of investing is that you must like the management. Well if you dont like Shaun and the team he has put together then you should all sell up now, and I would love to see you find a better team.
Tomorrow evening and Thursday may prove to be a good guide as to where we are going over the next few months. If it isnt, you can always ask Shaun in person next month.
For me I am just very glad that Shaun is running this company and not some of the people who spout nonsense on here.

I would really not want to see an updated mre, as I think ggp are buyers and not sellers. But I suspect NC will do a complete resource update as part of their defence - assuming that they will try and thwart the bid.
If they put out a huge resource for havieron then it will help our sp in the short term but make the 70% a lot more expensive.
Long term vs short term. Callum has nailed his colours to a long term view. I agree with him. But if you want out at 16-20p, then you will want a new resource from NC.

Morning iPad. I am no geo but some of these are potential payables and some are baddies that need to be taken out. Generally gold, copper, nickel, zinc, silver, cobalt, tin and chrome would be goodies and antimony, ****nic and bismuth would be nasties from a payable and processing point of view.
But I would defer to the experts......
