DJ, you may well be right. But in the short term the hysteria of some on here suggests that they are very weak longs and somewhat desperate. So that will cap any price rises till they calm down or sell out.

Hi Sureas, I am staying at Hotel Salvia, a great small hotel. Very peaceful. The port is a lot livelier and has more great restaurants than Soller. As an old man, I prefer the quiet during the day…

Afternoon all. I have read about the protests in the British press but seen very little here in Soller. A few flags and banners draped out of windows. Saw that Barcelona were spraying people with water pistols which given the heat might be nice.

Maybe in Magaluf or costa del sol, but we have been very warmly welcomed wherever we have been, which of course are the places that depend on tourism, being hotels, taxis and restaurants.

Last week we were in Menorca and absolutely zero sign of protests. I think it’s massively overblown.

It’s really an accounting calculation. NAV per share. If it goes up after a deal it’s accretive. If it goes down after a deal it’s dilutive.

What the market thinks is really irrelevant to that calculation as the market can remain irrational for longer than you can remain solvent as some wise man said a few years ago.

It wasn’t so much Sandeep as the idiot who ran NC business development team. He was arrogant and stupid, a pretty damning combination. When he left the fizz was popping at Ggp towers and on Callum’s boat. A thoroughly unpleasant bloke who I hope remains unemployed…, though fear may be at Sandeeps new vehicle with Elliot, who imo are arrogant but smart. Probably won’t last long there….

I would add that I wouldnt be against taking on another jv partner, as long as GGP had well over 50% and therefore management and control of the jv.

I want whatever Shaun wants and think he can do financially and operationally. I think that is option 2, but it might be option 3.

Not long to wait now. My guess was July when it was first mooted. I have a feeling I might be right.

In addition to Canada blocking Zijin from taking a stake in Solaris, we now have the Aussies blocking Chinese stake building in a rare earth miner. The Chinese will have to come to London listed companies if they want more mining assets.

Interesting that both BHP and Zijin have both been rebuffed in the past week in their attempts to acquire more exposure to copper. This should be perfect for Bob to score - after all its an open goal.

I hear you addicknt, but I think I would prefer if the management had no money and no management control of the project and no financial obligations either. A more interesting discussion than many recently....
