Morning Bamps. Your last paragraph is my point, and you are presuming and I dont know. Its probably moot anyhow as I havent heard anyone at GGP talk about Tungsten at all.

Bamps, so it’s not a ton of tungsten at all. In fact it only has about 7.5kilos of tungsten in it.

Be careful how you refer to the tungsten price. There are many different grades and purities. A ton of pure tungsten is worth many multiples of $340.

We know that NC were running Telfer to maximise production, but not profit. We know that Shaun has said more than once that he will be maximising profit (and presumably cash flow) from the operations.

I think Rick will be very pleased with the way that GGP run these facilities.

Good morning MF11. Nice analysis. I think it will be interesting to see how Van Eck calculate the modified free float. They will probably ignore Wyloo and Newmont (though their shares haven't been issued yet). They shouldn't ignore regular institutional shareholders as all of these shares could be considered to be available for sale.

So I agree with you that it will be a substantial amount of buying at some stage.

As usual we should expect Van Eck to do this really badly and pay way over the top for the shares, thus hurting anyone who holds GDXJ, and gifting the market makers a nice pay day.

Another box ticked by Scott who imo is doing a better job than most and couldnt be replaced by anyone on similar terms. He will get my vote at at he AGM.

It would be a shame if Pbow were to leave us. He posts with intelligence, without an agenda on matters that are of significant interest.

BBG on the other hand is desperate, posts wild unfounded theories and is very insulting to anyone who disagrees with his completely unproven 'theories'.

It would be symptomatic of this board if we were left with BBG and not Pbow.

Napthman, a rising or falling gdxj has no effect on what the fund needs to do. It’s only investors buying or selling the fund which will change the numbers of shares of the constituents that the fund needs to own. Of course there may be a second order effect in that a rising index attracts more buyers of that index, but that is an assumption, not a fact.

Where you should get lots of buying of Ggp is when the fund needs to rebalance for the huge placing, and of course when Ggp goes into the GDX as it surely must.

So you are right in part, but for the wrong reasons.

Napthman, can you explain your post of 1851 yesterday? Who is 'they' and why will they be buying 'chuncks'?

There are three possible outcomes as far as I am concerned.

1. Its taken over, probably for 20-35p.

2. Its gone bust. 0p.

3. Its still drifting along, so will probably be sub 5p.

3. seems the most likely given past history. If so BBG will have been stopped out by his prime broker and LB will have been divorced by his wife for sticking her money in this company without her knowledge.

Everyone else will just be moaning as per previous 4 years.

Afternoon Speedy. I tend to agree that Shaun would certainly want to be perceived as more like NM than those scumbags at NC. But he doesn’t need a deal atm and certainly doesn’t need to be generous. If Antipas shares rise on the expectation of a deal with Ggp, he should just sell the 8.6% and see where they go then. Though I doubt this will happen.

Antipa has some value, though not a lot. Their recent deal with Rio has given them some breathing room, but that will get spent. I think a deal on Winu with Rio is way more likely than anything with Antipa in the next year. Artemis and Wishbone are worthless. All Imo.

Addicknt. I don’t understand Rio’s move either. I have no interest in any lithium exposure so happy that I am not a Rio shareholder.

I definitely think 10p is cheap but equally I can’t see any way this trades over 30p in next 12 months. If it was so obvious, it would be trading at 20p now.

The price of gold is over $100 higher per year (the forward curve), so why and how would you be able to sell at a discount?

Yep you didn’t say much, but you did say naturally, which has no logic in a contango as we are hedging next years production.

Hi Malva, if he were to use fixed forward sales, he would benefit from the contango in the gold market, which would mean that forward sales would be made at a premium to the spot price. But I think he will use puts so that point is moot imo.
