RE: BHP/Lund paid £9.65/t for Filos 259mt = 173p for Solg's 539mt4 Dec 2024 12:27
Colonel, I hear you, and you and others continue to make that point. Besides Noront, which RK seems to think happens all the time and is an exact template for Solgold (it doesnt and it isnt), I just cant think of any of the many examples you refer to. Drug companies and the occasional tech company can go for twice the sp, but 40% is the more normal number.
So Bozi is right, the sp has to rally a lot to get to about 70% of your target price. Then you can have your 40% premium from there.
To get a long sustained rally you will need multiple desperate buyers. So far there hasnt been anyone rumoured, just a few players with some cash which some on here think obviously means they will be putting a call in. Of LBs ten companies in the data room, some would have shown their hand by now if they were at all interested. The silence speaks volumes. I have decided to wait till some credible buyer appears.
