Doggy, if you think gold is going to 1500 then there is no way ggp is going to 40p, unless that is post share consolidation! But the hedging will have helped a small amount.

I will try not to fall into the PI trap of getting bullish when the price rises, but hope to evaluate each day, each piece of news and each move on its merits.

I am a strong believer that on average the sp tells you what’s going on. Others choose to disagree, which is fine, but it can create false hope.

I don’t like the word unique much. It either is or isn’t imo. I think Solgold is a rare occurrence. I agree it’s cheap at 8p. On a risk/reward it probably should be somewhere between 20 and 40p, but no institution will touch it, no miner will buy in the market and every PI either has it or doesn’t want to catch the falling knife. That’s why we are here.

What will end the stalemate? Will Scott tick enough boxes that it forces someone’s hand? How about an old fashioned dawn raid at 15p, then bid 20p? If you don’t win at least you might make a bit and cover your costs.

Not sure where a derisked fair value is (due to country risk discount), but I doubt we will get close to it.

Matty, you must be delighted at the Winu news as I thought Shaun might be trying to do a deal on that ahead of any ASX listing. So thats now off the table, and really dont think that Shaun is daft enough to go for ARV or AZY, till they are desperate.

Drug companies and the occasional tech company can go for twice the sp, but 40% is the more normal number.

So Bozi is right, the sp has to rally a lot to get to about 70% of your target price. Then you can have your 40% premium from there.

To get a long sustained rally you will need multiple desperate buyers. So far there hasnt been anyone rumoured, just a few players with some cash which some on here think obviously means they will be putting a call in. Of LBs ten companies in the data room, some would have shown their hand by now if they were at all interested. The silence speaks volumes. I have decided to wait till some credible buyer appears.

That's your prerogative Eloro. I disagree. Virtually every bid that I have seen makes reference to the premium over the previous share price, so I would say that its very relevant. I would love anything over a quid, but I think I will be very lucky to see 40p, unless the price prior to the bid is 28p.

Eloro, cos it’s trading below 8p? Bids don’t come in at 20x sp. 1.4x often, occasionally 2x.

BBG, just pointing out that Anglo weren’t particularly generous when they found a tin pot company way out of its depth, that’s all. 7.5p to 173p might be a bit of a stretch for Anglo but I am sure you know better.

Did Anglo pay a full price for SXX?

MH01, at the last TH meeting Shaun did 'suggest' that GGP ought to be valued higher than DG, so I would tend to agree with your thoughts.
