If anyone wants to get unbelievably excited about the state of the gold market you could spent 20mins listening to the first half of Rob’s latest podcast.

As someone who listens to him often, he never gets this excited and isn’t the usual nutty goldbug.

I think we are on the cusp of some big changes in the world’s financial markets. It’s just a shame so few people know about it.

I spoke with Speedy yesterday and this morning. He is fine and probably even more excited than I am!

Eloro, all I would say is that you NEVER learn nothing from a f2f meeting. So for a few hours and a train ticket its the best investment in Solgold so far. See you there Eish. I hope to be there at 4pm.

What this has taught me, cos one is always learning, that there are very few true investors on this site.

quite staggering that you all ***** and moan about the company and individuals and complain that they dont answer your questions, but when the time comes for a face to face meeting with the ceo and cfo, you are all washing your hair.

so my take is that you either have £50 invested or you have no clue about engaging with a company.

It did occur to me that bhp and Newmont are totally supportive cos they are getting a slightly derisked project and a lower sp at the same time.

Add, I agree and get that. But it doesn’t get the marginal investor excited. It’s necessary to build a company, if not a share price.

Think Terry Smith was right about mining.

So we have no buyers of the asset. No institutional investors (probably cos no independent chair), far too many disgruntled PI investors and very limited newsflow. Two years of permitting and four years of mine development till first ore and cash flow.

I can think of only two positives. Firstly sell a load of shares and get drilling as last roll of the dice. Secondly in the unlikely event that we do get to be a miner, the prices of the three metals will be a lot higher in 2035. Mind you we might not be here to see it.

Pretty depressing.

Its definitely not a jolly, as Scott, Chris and Sean are all travelling overnight economy, which is something I wouldnt do from the Americas.

I agree that Antipa should be discussed as its relevant to GGP. Its a neighbour and has an asset that might be beneficial to GGP and we are shareholders. I am sure that in the fullness of time GGP will have some kind of deal with Antipa, as it would be crazy not to. However I dont think GGP should buy Antipa in the short term. I would prefer if Antipa continued to spend money and time improving the knowledge and quality of the asset, even if that meant GGP paid a lot more for the improved asset.

But its a personal opinion and I know a lot of Antipa shareholders would disagree, which is their right.

I have had it confirmed that NM are done now. Total raised is US$4.3b, which was twice their min target.

Add, they have way exceeded their targeted realisation. Lots of buyers out there for gold production. Even Africa.

TV. Sadly HL dont have a means to trade on ASX. HL are pretty useless outside of UK and NA. Try AJ Bell.

Add, I read that Newmont have completed all their intended sales now. Not sure whether this is true as I have stopped following them closely for obvious reasons.

Shearclass, it’s possible that some of that was removed as it became uneconomic due to falling gold prices from the high in 2011. But those should come back in as we hit new highs even with inflation and rising production costs.

The higher gold and copper prices will make a lot more of Telfer and some more of Havieron economic and I expect big rises in resources and reserves over time.

They wont be holding anything like that amount should they want to replicate, track and hedge themselves to MVIS, which of course is what their mandate says they should do. If they dont have the right amount (which they dont) this rise in price will kill them. No sympathy from me.

3% is the typical threshold for UK companies to notify. Going from 5% to 3% on their website is probably just cos the list has got longer. GDXJ with about 250m drops below 3% so is not on the list.

What the heck Van Eck are up to is anyone's guess. But its a lot more interesting (and in the short term relevant to the share price) than the dual/cross discussion. They are in mortal danger of being reported to the SEC. Its verging on the dishonest and fraudulent, but most of you dont realise whats going on. All IMO and obviously dont listen to me - DYOFR!!

I am totally relaxed about the whole ASX thing. Its going to be a game changer in a good way.

I know a lot about dual listings too, so I may have more to say on this later if I can be bothered.

Boy there are some very lazy people on here. I now have it confirmed by the company that there is no change in the type of planned listing. 'Dual' was used for simplicity as its a generally more understood term than 'cross'. Its a single entity listed on both exchanges.

I agree its a bit lazy wording but instead of moaning from your keyboard and trying and stir up trouble you could have used your time more fruitfully and asked them! I did.

Hopefully they will be a little more careful in future. I hope that ginger and SC will too.
