Morning all. Some lovely posts and some quite scary ones too today. Amazing how some people go all in and yet know so little about the company. Then there are others who know loads and yet have a balanced portfolio. I always believe that the size of the investment should match the knowledge one has about that investment. I tend to agree with Munger (how could you not), so I have broken all my rules for the past 6 years or so.

It’s very sad that Shaun would have been pelted with eggs had he stood up at a TH meeting last autumn and now he will get a 5 min standing ovation. What’s changed? Just the share price. But the plan hasn’t altered one bit. If you knew the plan the risk reward was at its best at the 4.8p placing. The institutions have been awful in not seeing this and supporting Shaun. London has fallen so far as the centre of mining finance. It’s not surprising that Shaun is pivoting to his home market where the super funds will dominate the register in months and years to come.

I think the next 6-12 months could be the most exciting for the company when you do the maths, listen to Bamps on what’s at Telfer (and what Hav will really look like after the FS), and listen to Speedy and the gold bugs on podcasts.

I am going to have to get used to a few hundred posts a day from very excited people who I have never met!

Newmont dont really own 20% as half of that is optioned to Wyloo dont forget.

It certainly won’t be April. Various legal things have to happen to create the top hat company etc, including a scheme of arrangement in UK, share consolidation. Shaun will almost certainly need to be here to sell it/promote it.

It could be May, but June is odds on favourite imo.

Morning TT. Regrading the copper, I am pretty sure that our copper will be sold basis a formula that derives the cu price from the LME not Comex as nearly all concentrate is priced off LME prices. Due to the fears about tariffs in the US, Comex is trading about $1,000 per ton premium to LME which is just over $10,000.

I expect that things will normalise over the next few months . Whether that's at 5.20 per lb or 10,000 pmt is anyone's guess.

Morning Syd, yes grade may be a touch lower but you have a much higher gold price and the sale of the copper concentrate to add in to. So my guess is that you are low in your estimate.

GLR, Shaun did say that they are starting to 'walk down' the Telfer AISC, so it should be less than $1460. Plus of course the ROM will be a fraction of that as no mining costs. Plus no inflation in diesel nor steel recently.

Might not need the debt facility.....

SAS, if we are producing 500,000 ozs pa, I am not sure that I am bothered where it comes from.

Mind you its a mouth watering prospect to be producing from Hav at an AISC of $750 when we have the Speedy guaranteed gold price of $5,000 an oz, (or Pierre Lassondes price of $19,000 an oz).

B4zh, Its quite possible that the reason that you have had bad experiences of consolidations is due to the companies being on their way to bankruptcy. Generally companies that do consolidations do so because their sp has cratered and they have masses of share in issue. So they consolidate and then issue more shares which dilutes the price yet again. And so on. It could be argued that Antipa are going down that road given their lack of positive cash flow.

If you think that applies to GGP then I suggest you sell your shares now.

Texlax, I think you are very conservative on you March Quarter numbers.

Its a great announcement and more or less what I was hoping for. But I am very excited by whats not in there. Four areas that have been identified are not in the Resource numbers plus the fantastic WDU - which as our resident Sage Bamps tells us could be the most exciting of the lot.

Then I see that the the old Hav PFS is using A$2360 for its calcs. The market price is about twice that now, so just how much more would be included there, let alone the IRR numbers.

So I think we are set fair and could be producing 500,000 ozs Au Eq for many many years to come. Stick that on mkt prices and a 15 p/e and its clear that 'The Market Still Doesnt Get It'!!

Maybe the ASX will.

Daz, there are many reasons why MF11s work is so valuable and helpful. I will go through a few.

Firstly its always nice to know what the future intentions are of any holder or potential holder. It may allow an investor to take advantage of any artificial/temporary move in the sp.

Secondly sometimes we know more than they do and they need our help. This may seem odd to you, but thats what happened back in Sept 2020 I think it was. VE thought that platform holders (HL etc) were institutional holders and should be excluded from the free float. Clearly nonsense.

Lastly it ensures the investors in GDXJ, and VE themselves are taking the correct risk and giving investors the exposure that they sought.

Of course there might be some who delight in VE getting into trouble with the SEC for not buying enough GGP back in December and thus having the sp lower than it should be....

May I say MF11, its a brilliant piece of work by you. If I may add that Van Eck also tend to track perfectly every other stock in their index, so they are behaving in a way (regarding GGP) that is at odds with everything else they do.

BB, its been asked many times before and no they dont.

There isn’t a time when both markets are open, and most news is released before an opening. My guess is that it will be prior to the Australian opening.

If it happens I think its way more than that.

Pernickety, Wyloos move in to Ni has been (I would suggest) an absolute disaster for them. The Indonesians have killed the Ni market for the next few years. My guess is that Twiggy wont be too impressed with the Wyloo senior management, unless it was his bright idea. Luckily they are having more success in their gold and copper investments...
