Tonight for Zinc - "Suffragettes" on BBC1 at 8.30pm until 10pm (1.5 hour) is the Critics choice/pick of the day - another Brook Lapping production. Zinc companies very busy, also "Terror in the Air flights out of control" was a Tern production on 1st June & "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is", Is on BBC 2 everyday at 4.30pm.

It looks like Zinc are ahead of the game, the company certainly had vision as it turned the company around, Zinc are now "Award winning communications experts & world leading television producers" & have allready created a company that others in the industry are following, notably Sir Martin Sorrell, who built WPP from a shopping baskets manufacturer into the world's biggest advertising company with revenues of over �15bn. He now says "There are significant opportunities for development in technology, data and content". As he returns to the public markets after striking a reverse takeover of Derriston Capital, a cash shell, with the aim of building a marketing and communications services group. The new group aims to �build a multinational communication services business, initially by acquisitions�. (is that what Zinc Media do ?)

Tern also had "Britain at low tide" aired on sat night on More 4 at 8pm - lots of zinc productions getting aired, it shows that the broadcasters appreciate what zinc do. Zinc are well undervalued at the moment - Tern on its own is worth more than the whole of Zinc, & its still growing, Terns turnover in 2016 was �4.4m, in 2017 it was �5.3m so at its growth rate it will surely be up in the �6m area this year. Add all that to Zincs Turnover last year & it should be around �25m - �30m - If Tern are valued at one X turnover, what valuation does that put on Zinc ? Surely 1 X Turnover would value the company around �25m which i about 4Times the current SP, it should be nearer 2p - 3p at least ! The Volume of trades seems to be picking up - it cannot be long now before Zinc get noticed & the sp surges.

Management time will be freed up by not having to prepare for the annual audit and deal with the auditors' queries The key question to ask is "if an audit had never been available before and were now to be offered to me, with the benefits being fully explained and understood, would I voluntarily invest in one?" In my opinion the decision would usually be to dispense with the audit. The cost saved can then be much more effectively used in obtaining advice to achieve increased profits and capital value. Looks like others think it's good news looking at the late buy !!

Seems to relate to most of zinc companies being exempt from the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to the audit of accounts under section 479A of the Companies Act 2006 Sounds like it will make accounting easier if all of the TV production companies are exempt !!

As David said the focus is now on TV production compared to Ten Alps (the name of the company before it was changed to Zinc Media) being quite involved in publishing, so a lot has happened & Ten Alps has been transformed into what Zinc now is, which is quite an achievement. The board have achieved a lot & do have vision, There were some big decisions taken over the past few years & the company has been turned around, in 2015 when there was EBITDA loss of �0.64m & operating loss of �0.73m & net debt of �6.38m the share price was 2.25p. Today 3 years later gross margin increased 33%, EBITDA profit increased by over 300% to �0.24m & there is cash in the bank of �3.69m the share price is less than what it was when the company was loss making & in debt. Zinc have Assets of �18.42m & cash in bank is �3.69m, an order book at half year of �14.4m & the market cap is �6.8m - something is confusing here as a lot of business have valuations of at least turnover more often ( multiples of it) Last years revenues were �19.76m, the latest interims showed revenues were up on last year & Zinc are making profits. Current turnover is nearly 3 times the market cap. Shouldnt it be the other way market cap is 3 times turnover ?

There seems to be an element of fear & i suspect the shorts are enjoying this. As a group the company is doing very well, consider how it looked a year ago, two even three years ago & the turnaround that has been achieved, 300% increase in adjusted EBITDA, Revenues are up, Gross margin is up, Assets are up, Cash in bank is up, so much has changed in a positive way. The order book stood at �14.4m at half year. Reef is still operating & there will probably be "No Earn Out" payments to be made to Reef (RF) if it has underperformed, so a big saving on costs this year ! The same goes for Tern the purchase price is performance related - have a look back, Zinc didnt pay all the cash up front. Zinc is a growing company - IT IS NOT MAKING A LOSS - IT IS NOW PROFITABLE WITH CASH IN THE BANK. How many shares have changed hands recently ? Hardly any compared to how many there are available. Its true about small investors buying high & selling low - at the wrong times, due to emotion . The investor buys the stock when it was high and sold it when it was low. This is the natural, emotional way to do things. We are loss averse and attracted to gains, SO WE BUY AND SELL AT EXACTLY THE WRONG TIMES. This is why so many people lose money when they invest, in spite of the fact that the general trend of the market is up. So basically, most retail investors get greedy and PANIC at inopportune times. This is due to the basic fear/greed mechanism. People (professionals included) tend to over-project their optimism when things are good. And people tend to get depressed, bipolar when things hit the fan, leading to irrational actions. And they let their emotional state project itself onto their investing decisions , leading to missteps. Letting emotions dictate decisions never results in stable outcomes. There are two emotions that every investor should avoid when deciding on their next step: greed and fear. The promise of quick wealth leads greedy people to make rash decisions like investing in companies they know nothing about. Similarly, fear causes investors to make panicked decisions like selling shares at low prices !! IS THIS NOW THE TIME TO BUY � the opposite of the fearful who have just sold, did they make a gain & have gone in search of somewhere else to lose more money !! Most people lose money in the stock market. In fact, only one person from 100 traders has consistent profits. Everybody says that only 5% or 10% of traders are profiting from stock trading, but the analysts say the reality is much worse when it comes to day traders (which actually refers to most of the traders today). Impatience is Selling a stock for no reason buying another. JUST TO SEE THE SOLD STOCK RALLY . & then regretting the decision to sell. It looks like Zinc have confidence & are prepared to show the company off at this investor show, which they say is recognised as the uk's top one day event for those serious about making money from shares. There will be some very influential names & speakers attending, inc David Galen & Luke Johnson. Zinc may start to get recommended by tipsters & Bloggers who will be attending the show. Its interesting that Zinc are exhibiting at the UK Investor Show & they are not afraid to say look at us. It will certainly be interesting for the share price, I would not be surprised to see the SP become more realistic in terms of Zincs true value in the near future as there is only about 20% not in the hands of Institutions & large investors. So if the show does attract extra investors there are not going to be many shares available - interesting times ahead.

Zinc have quite a lot of productions being shown at the moment, also showing is The wonderful world of puppies, thursdays & saturdays. Bargain loving Brits in the sun on thursdays. Selling houses with Amanda Lamb on Wednesdays. To name a few, Zinc must be doing something right to be getting so many productions aired ! The stock market has been having quite a tough time lately but Zinc have held well, This company has got to be underpriced, it is doing well, getting commissions & surely has a bright future, its still well under the radar. The past few years has seen a lot of change & the parts that were loss making sold or closed leaving a solid company with all divisions making profits , with growing revenues. Its incredible how a few small trades impact the Sp, the Majority of shareholders have bought more & have been adding to there holdings each time the SP is at bargain prices. I truly am optimistic & feel that 3p is getting close.

When The Great British Bake Off first series launched its viewing figures were an average 2.7m in sept 2010, putting it in the top 10 for that time on BBC, So The Village of the Year has done well, its average figures of 1.42 m for the week ending 21 Jan was pretty good, there is the final to come yet ! Love Productions that produces Bake Off only had revenues of about �13m when SKY bought a 70% stake in a deal worth around �24.5m in 2014. It looks like the board have worked hard at turning around the company, The large investors who have put money into Zinc do not seem to be selling, the market has been quite quiet for a while, the very small amount of trades from a few very small sells, gives the market makers cheap stock, which i am very sure they will profit from once the board issues a trading statement. If all the companies were profitable & growing revenues, New profitable companies being acquired, New commissions being gained, this is certainly a very different company than TEN ALPS & the Board should be applauded. I do seriously believe 3p is possible. Zinc is becoming a specialist & sought after company to produce factual productions, which the broadcasters are screening more & more. Good luck all
