So if you were in the bod's would you sell tcg for 30p? Why would they.
They are currently sorting out multiple offeres for their airline side of the business which they put up for sale, in-fact they have had far more than they thought they would get which must be a great position to be in.
Once they have sold that business for an est of what £800m -£1b, then we will get a better sp true position which could be 40p -50p. Ok alone comes Fosun and offers 25p -50p for the travel side, so why would you sell for possibly less than the sp. The facts are Fosun can offer what ever it likes and as tcg never put itself up for sale they would just reject it and carry on trading in line with their new plan. TCG is NOT going bust so why would they take any offer, just daft to think so.

I think what many posters have forgotten is that tcg do NOT have to sell the travel business, ok they have decided to sell the airline side and that will find homes, condor will go to Germany for a great price, long haul will go somewhere for a good price and the rest will be bought by someone.
Whatever they make will be cash in hand / bank, the bod's can then decide if they want to pay down debt or even use it to expand more, It's NOT the banks that have control here.
Bonds are not due for another few years and can / will be paid back from income / new loan agreements.
But many still think tcg have to sell the rest, but they don't and will only do so if/ when they get a great offer from someone maybe Fosun.

Wow that looks like a great bit of kit and already in use in Europe, just wonder what this asset is worth and now being extended when so many think tcg is going bust.

No one is talking about break up value anyway, this is going concern.
But tcg have what a few hundred hotels and they alone must be worth £200m without the rest so we could be looking at what £600m -+ without the airlines at least 50p a share.

We all know now that tcg are making profit at this time of year and to value tcg as 0 -15p is complete madness and only something an accountant would do without taking into account a well astablished and asset rich company stacked with good will. I guess we will see in a few months just what tcg actually sell for. Either Fosun buys the lot now paying up front for thairline business and then sell it off , or sale of airline for about £800m and then sell off the travel side. time will tell. But one thing is sure tcg are NOT going bust only the shorters / spread betters looking for that.

So if the governments plan for the next 10- 20 years is to move away from gas /cent heating, where does that leave companies like cna and their share price?

If anything now that it's in the press that Fosun might try to buy the total tcg business before the airline sale and then sell off the bits it doesn't want I would have thought now is the time to buy.
If there are ideas that the airline business is worth some £800m + what about 40p- 45p a share then Fosun will have to pay that first plus money per share for the travel side what another 50p+. so we must still be looking for £1+. Not the time to sell.

There some on here that say with a sp of what about 18p- 20p this could go to 0 and bust or double to 50p ish.
So first why would tcg go bust, even without selling off any airline business the bod's have already got loan agreements to see them through the next winter and we are now in the prime income time for cash flow so tcg were never going bust .
So 0p is out of the question,
Now they have put the airline business up for sale and many say, what a terrible time to sell any airline business no one in their right mind would want to but them, but they have been overwelmed by the number of companies that want to buy these assets so they won't go cheap.
Then we have have had a number of companies even coming in with offers to buy the travel side even though it was never put up for sale, so if tcg sell the lot it's going to be at a great price which could still be £1+.
Going by the last rns this week it's clear that Fosun have been in contact with tcg trying to do a deal which ties in with Citi group giving a 0p value just to get the sp down. Hold tight fun and games to come.

But all the accountancy firms seem to use the same measurments regarding debt for all companies, which is normally made of of lies and projections that no one can understand.
So how could you then have tcg standing out with true facts, they wouldn't last the day.

Didn't tcg hold an analyst presentation day the other week, so we should by now get some up-dated analyst / broker prices

Over the next few months tcg will have 100's of their own hotels in operation , so not only will they now not owe that money but other holiday companies will owe tcg for their hotel rooms.
Things are in the change here for the better.

So when customers pay a deposit tcg are then in debt, but the deposit is part of the total holiday payment and if you cancel after paying your deposit you lose it.
All / most of the major holiday companies have now moved to paying your deposit to about 10 weeks before you travel , so it's not debt but free cash they do not have to find to run their business.

You have to ask 1 or 2 questions.
If /when tcg sell off their airline business for anything from £800m - £1bn and then pay down thier debt tcg should be trading at what 40p -50p.
Do you then think fosun is going to offer 15p - 20p to buy tcg , and what do you think the bod's and shareholders are going to say . Yes why not. Now who needs to get real.

I think you are a little behind the times,
They have multiple bids for the airline side,
they have bids for total Nordic tourist business,
they have a bid from Fosun for the total tcg business.
So all well and good for a lift in sp.

Normally any increase in holdings over an xxtra 1% need to be reported within 3 days , but I am not sure if that applies to overseas companies as they work to different rules.

Here is that many may not be thinking right.
The bod's are not out to sell the company, they are only trying to sell the airline business which they can do with luck for £800- £1bn.
They do not need to sell the company because they are now in the peak summer trading period and cash is pilling in, they also have a £300m loan agreement in place for the winter should they need it. So they will only sell the whole company if a good offer comes in that is in good interest to the shareholders, and that's got to be £1 +.
So all this talk of 25p for the lot, many must be in a dream world.
