Thomas Cook has extended its holiday programme to the Sunshine State of Florida to offer year-round flying.

From 2020 Thomas Cook Airlines will have additional flying from Manchester to Orlando every Tuesday and Sunday between January and March to make its programme year-round, and opening up Orlando’s famous theme parks, the cool vibe of the Atlantic Coast or the sands of the Gulf Coast to customers during these cooler winter months.

So is that a pi buy of £50k

Many posters do hold these shares and as such try to find things that are / could be positive about the company's future, then there are people that don't and will never own these or maybe any other shares and just come on these post boards for fun and just to de-ramp to spread fear.
But if you don't hold these or intend to buy these or maybe just don't have any money to buy shares you should stay away and just go play snap which is free, because just like you don't like others posts i guess others just don't like yours and don't give a fig.

In a statement issued late Sunday, the Frankfurt-based group said it now expects to reach an operating margin of between 5.5 to 6.5 percent, down from an earlier estimate of 6.5 to 8.0 percent.

The revision in its annual targets corresponds to an operating profit of between 2.0 to 2.4 billion euros ($2.2 -2.7 billion). The outlook also factors in a fuel cost increase of 550 million euros.
So I guess they will still have plenty of money to buy Condor.

The interesting point must be will Fosun bid more to get their hands on the Nordic business as well as the rest. I can imagine the tcg bod's will try to play one off against the other, but if they are sold in split lots will Fosun be happy. Who has the deepest pockets to out bid the other.

Shows they need to get a move on and buy Condor asap for a top price.
Then everyone will be happy.

We haven't been for about 10 years now but have been about 15 times to all the lodges, seen all the kills and have wonderful momories and been some of my/ our best holidays ever.

Yes I agree with you these are all firm bids, but it will take a litttle time to sort this out as the airline side is almost being sold as going concerns in that any deal to buy will be a g/tee by the buyer to take all of thomas cooks holiday customers.
And remember tcg haven't put the travel business up for sale so any bid from Fosun is un-welcomed and as such would have to be above market price if they want to make sure they get their hands on it all.
Anyway that's the way I see it.

We all know you cannot just go by the nettasset value to determin the sp .
Just look at 2014 jan nett asset value was £285m sp in Jan was £1.19
2016 " " " " £326m sp " was £0.90p
" 2017 " " " " " £256m sp Jan " £1.19
" 2018 " nett asset value £291m sp Jan " 36p
So it doesn't mean a thing, it's all about the future plans and profit.

You have to ask yourself even if the bod's could sell the lot to fosun why would they for 30p a share. TCG are NOT going bust or being controled by the banks, so they do NOT need to sell the travel business. They decided to change the business path and sell the airlines and against all the forecasts have been overwelmed by the interest to buy their airlines even when a lot of posters said what a terrible time to sell.
Now once the airlines side has been sold off for what £800m - £1bn giving the board cash to either pay down some debt or invest more into hotels the share price should be 40p -50p .
Then we have all the assets which must be worth what £400m+ making about 65p-70p in total so why would the company sell for 15p -50p it's daft. Fosun can make any offer it wants but to get the prize they need to offer about £1 which will then go to the shareholders to agree.
So lets stop all this talk of 15p -30p.

So here is the question.
We are currently trading as Thomas cook group, but once we sell off the airline business and get bought by say Fosun, who want to keep the name for history and heritage etc.
Will they / can they keep a London listing and carry on trading as Thomas cook holdings etc, or will de-list from London, or trade in the stock market as Fosun uk.
Any thoughts.

The fact is tcg will not need this loan anyway, why would they after selling off the airlines for what about £800m - £1bn.

We are not sure just how many banks are involved with the loan agreement it could be 10+, so if 1 of these banks wants to move / sell their £50 debt let them do it I don't think it will make the slightest difference. Apart from making the shorters feel better.

It’s a sorry state of affairs that over the last few years many pi traders have realized that it is easier and faster to make more money by shorting / spread betting company shares.
You will always notice that share prices go down much more and faster than going up particularly when there is some bad press around, so it’s the in thing to rubbish companies as much as possible and even make them go bust, but who seems to care as long as the shorter’s / spread betters make money.
But I guess it’s the time we live in.

There are so many on here that keep going on about tcg having to sell the business because they are going bust and being controled by the banks.
Says who, have tcg come out and said they must sell or go bust NO .
They are in control and changing a business path to a more profitable business plan and selling off the bits they don't need. Bo one in their right minds would sell off the travel side before they have sold off their airlines and put the business on a firm footing. We just need to give this more time, and don't be put off by some broker notes about being worth nothing, remember Citi group do work for Fosun and that's their job to rubbish tcg out look to bring down the sp and it's worked so far.
