This could be the start of things to come if all those people want to cut down on climate change in a big way , get their way.
Cut car production , stop airline flights etc etc and put climate change before people on fast track.

Japanese car giant Nissan has announced 12,500 job cuts as it attempts to shore up its finances after recent troubles.

It will reduce its production capacity and the number of models it produces by 10% by the end of 2022, but it did not say where the cuts will fall.
The firm also announced a 94.5% fall in net income for the first quarter of 2019.
This is one of the one of the carmaker's worst quarterly performances in a decade.
Union sources are hopeful that Nissan's Sunderland car plant will escape the effects of the cuts.
I am sure we can manage this in a better way over time.

OK that couldn't happen, so instead of selling off the airline they swap the airline for equity to the banks taking off some / most of the debt and still ending up with the travel side with Fosun investing more. Same difference at the end of it with tcg moving forward and making profit without all the interest payments.

We must first wait to see what the deal is, it does look like they want the shares to carry on trading after the announcement with a big dilution but if they come back at say 3p -4p then all should be ok. But yes we have to wait to see what the deal is.

As long as they do not have a consolidation and the shares come back trading at even 3p-4p after the deal there should be almost ne debt and good prospects so as you have held out there could be great prospects of you getting your money back in say 6 -12 months when / if the shares go back up to about 30p-40p . I have sold mine but if they come back and trade somewhere around the 3-4p I will buy back in and then wait for progress.

The trouble is we still have a number of posters that are still saying the shares are worth 0 but clearly they are worth a lot more so even the know-alls get it wrong.

I guess it's all about what price the deal will be done at.
If you sold now at say 4.6p and then the deal was done and the shares came back trading at 3p with no debt you could all buy back in and then stay for a recovery long term.
But if you sold now and they come back after the deal at 7p you have lost more. It's all a gamble.

Unfortunately many of us have for whatever reason have lost thousands of pounds here and many can and will say we were misled to some extent, but I bet that when the deal is announced and gone through some / most of the directors will be getting millions of pounds bonus for saving tcg.

Since the 12 th July we have seen some 500m shares traded and maybe 400m of those as sells.
those shares are sitting somewhere,
If the banks take the majority of the airlines as d4e and Fosun take say 50% of the rest TCG could then be profitable and the shares could start to move back up to where they would have been if tcg sold the airlines and paid off the debt. I guess it depends on tcg staying listed and not being bought out very soon by Fosun.

Up-date was due this week but it was only a trading up-date and not the int or finals so maybe the rules are slightly different and they can just delay for a few weeks until they sort out the deal.

Friday tomorrow so I can see this going down to 3p -4p by end of the day Friday as many will try to settle up/ square the books before the weekend and left without any control over the weekend.

For any shareholders that have already sold from say 9p down to 4.5p and could be sitting on some cash, if as suggested they refloat these shares after all the Fosun / other investment at say 3p everyone could then buy in and sit and wait for a year until they reach 30p and hopefully not be too much out of pocket, assuming of cause they don't have a consolidation.

If as suggested Fosun / others put in money they must issue more shares and that could be 1-2bn at what 2p-3p-4p we don't know yet. But normally companies that do this will then do a consolidation of x10 or x 20, so if the issue is 3p and you have 100,000 you will get end up with 10,000 at 30p, but at this stage know one knows.

I was just responding to your post, ( Brandes who supported the restructuring last year were hoovering up stock all the way down the beanstalk but have put that bus firmly into reverse. )
If they did keep buying down to 3-4p mark then they could have now sold much of that for 5p+

Like many I am surprised the sp has held up so well, but things will change when the bombshell hits the market.
Or maybe we have all got it wrong by selling out to find the sp starts to move back up with market confidence.
