So we are just about to come up to the Christmas close for a few days and what a great time to come out with another RNS for a rights / placing at 4p -5p , so it slips out without too much attention.

I don't see anything wrong in principle if they are given / offered on results and against a target vs more profit and the SP. but these seem to have been given even before the year end numbers/ results are out. So even if the year end results are bad /very bad they will have still been given the options. Not right from my point of view but different if you are given them.

PFD are at it again giving away more options to all their directors at 29p ish with another 8,000 shares. This has been going on for the last 5-8 years outragous.
I could understand it if they were granted for getting the sp to a £1 , but I guess that would be too hard.

I have to agree that most / many of these brokers don't have a clue, they iether follow the sp or they try to influence the sp by trying to drop the sp to make money.
If any of these broker reports / price targets were based on a company's reality and prospects they would almost all agree with the same price target.After all don't all accountants go by the same rules. Once saga puts out a more positive rns all / most will increase their price targets to 80p+, it's only a question of time.

I have looked for that today and couldn't find it, any chance of putting up the link etc.

Another RNS, Looks like AA are firing on all fronts now.
AA PLC announces the appointment to the Board of Kevin Dangerfield as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO").
Kevin Dangerfield is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has over 25 years' experience in a variety of industries including technology and manufacturing. He was most recently CFO of Wilmcote Holdings PLC.



Prior to this, Kevin held various CFO roles in public listed companies, including Laird PLC and Morgan Advance Materials PLC.

Funny how even after jefferies inreased their price target to 52p-53p we are still down here at 37p-39p
What will it take to move this up.??????

Come on Harry, we have seen this appern with you over time, you pick a stock and then rubbish it and be negative on it untill the sp moves down regardless of any positive notes that come out. We all know you are a shorter untill you get a buy in price you are looking for and then you move on to the next stock. I don't think that will work this time as Saga has already moved to the lowest point. But who knows. !!!

simple, interest in what happens next. these consolidation stocks never go to plan and could be a great time to buy back in at about 75p.

Wow, that's a very quick start to buying back some bonds. Could go into the new year with £100m - £200m less debt, now that could move the sp .

I wouldn't be surprised if part of the shake-up is the selling off of our 49% of Hovis, Hovis must now almost be profit making and as such our share must be worth a lot more money and that could pay down debt.

Background to the Share consolidation

In addition to the proposed Sale, the Countrywide Group is proposing a restructuring of Countrywide's share capital. Following the firm placing, placing and open offer of 1,400,000,000 Ordinary Shares on 30 August 2018, Countrywide currently has 1,641,303,439 Ordinary Shares in issue, each of which has a nominal value of £0.01. The Closing Price on the Latest Practicable Date was 4.80 pence.
I think one has to be careful here with any more buying, I believe this staement says that the consolidation price is all set/agreed and based on 4.80p ie x 50 = £2.42. so even if the sp gets pushed up to 6p-7p you will not get x 50 ie £3.00 -£3.50 sp when this goes live, but I could be wrong.

They put out a trading up-date before the last results saying the same thing ,and blow me down the results showed just that and all according to plan.
The SP then went up from about 60p to 76p and then fell right back down to 41p ish and who knows why.!!!!
Is this time ant different ap[art from the fact that they are now talking about paying down debt / bonds, now that should get the SP going even higher than last time.
But what happens on Friday if Corbin gets in ??????? back to 41p.

Saga to sell care operations under Elliott break-up threat, yes could be some good news as they can pay down some more debt. I guess it all depends on how much they get for it but there must be a good number of companies that would be interested in that side of the business.

Great news to here anyone upping their holdings in AA. even more so at the moment when many are concerned about the bonds debt, but to up the holding by double to 10% is very good news.
Do you think that's why the sp has been held down forthe last few weeks to fill buy orders?.
Anyway now let's hope we start to move back up to 60p+.

I think everyone is waiting for some good news to give the sp a boost, the trouble is what do you consider to be good news.
Is it that they have signed up another 20 customers or starting to make a profit or agreed another cash injection to stop it going bust, which one or is it all 3 that are needed and just how realistic is it for any one to be true. 5p coming fast now.

AW100, these are the questions I asked IR and they came back with more or less the same reply.
I guess most of the shareholders are more concerned with the debt and do fear another Thomas cook etc but this debt is in bonds are spread over the next 2-5 years.
I know they will say it's easily managed and it probley is but there is I think a £500m bond due next year and I guess they will pay that one off or just renew it at another % rate, but It would be nice to see it start to come down.

I know the market is down about 1.5% but come on why is saga down 5%.

So it does look like we are going back to 35p ish. We nearly always get a share price rally in December , have we had that or will it come if Boris gets back in.????
