Morning, anyone know when this is due out ? I think it was this time last year.
Fair comment helx !
No other word other than gutted really. I've been a very long term holder and am 10's of thousands into this, so I really did buy into the December comments from BIDS about exceeding expectations, which seems a little over generous given they would have known by then what sort of RNS was coming out today. Been suckered again perhaps !
Any rational thoughts from people on whether this will come back up a bit in the next new days ?
Chiefs, BIDS have been growing headcount significantly throughout the past 2 years. 171% increase over 2 years years, so regular and continual investment in staff. On LinkedIn they are upto 84 people now, albeit a small handful of those are investors etc, but most are software engineering and business development. A good solid foundation.
Sogamla, I feel your pain ! Part of me wishes I'd have sold out and got in again may times over, but was never brave enough as I thought it would fly at some point and id be left on the runway ! I'm starting to think my flight has been cancelled :)
Thanks for the responses and that explains it - that is one of the most exciting and concrete things I've seen in 2 years for BIDS - hope it translates into some solid earnings and hopefully VW taking it Europe wide. Good luck all.
Hi, I've been a holder of bids since day 1 and seen the amazing highs and equally amazing lows . I'd decided to ignore it recently until some concrete numbers come out, but can anyone tell me whats driving this uptick ? I've not seen anything other than spending money to sponsor a championship football shirt - what did I miss ?
Jimmy_Stocks, agree with you. When you look at Linkedin you can see that employee count has increased by 48% in the past year and over two years its at 265% - currently have 62 people, some of which are advisers, but the story is one of confidence and growth for the future. They are even recruiting through covid, which is against the trend of many other employers.
I've been patient for a very long time on this; I'm way down on my investment, but at the same time I do believe in what they are doing. The only thing that will move this permanently north though is either an announcement like an EA sports deal or some solid financials.
This may have already been posted as I don't tend to read a lot of what is on here anymore, but I thought this was interesting.
Football manager numbers increasing through the pandemic, which I'm assuming will increase page impressions and advert spending. Every little helps - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51904874
Hi All
I did a post recently that explained that I am more of a watcher than a contributor to this board, but I could do with less petty spats as it's genuinely helpful to get good insight from you guys. It's a new year, so let's enter it optimistically.
One that front, I read a useful article today that I thought i'd share - it's a research piece done on the gaming sector and shows the scale of the business and gives some hints to future directions. It's got nothing to do with BIDS specifically, but is an easy read on the factors impacting the gaming sector in the next few years, which can only mean opportunities down the line.
I'm off to find some snow, so I wish you and yours a great and prosperous new year.

Hi all, I’m a watcher and not a contributor to the board, but I do value some of the sentiment conveyed, especially the more calming influencers.
I’ll declare that I’m not someone relying on bids to make my fortune, so I’m not punting it to create value for myself, but I have a genuine interest in the tech and approach.
I’m from a tech back ground and as a bit of a gamer, namely FIFA, for years now I have always looked at the passive advertising opportunity and wondered why this hadn’t been developed further. A friend who is an AIM investment CEO introduced me to the BIDS pre- launch document before it was publicly available and it was a genuine lightbulb moment for me - proper clever tech (I’ve seen lots of not so clever tech).
Anyway my point is that this is inevitably the future and as some point the fundamentals of the business will be self sustainable and profitable. I am only basing this on the massive movement toward gaming of all genres in the past decade and the fact that most players are not buying games, they are just using them, which means the developer needs to find other ways to monitise the dev they do.
I’m in, but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone, but I just wanted to share my enthusiasm for the business.
Thanks.
Come on MM's, let this puppy off the leash now and don't bring the price back down.
If in the next couple of months they announce some serious game signings all long term holders will be hugely rewarded.
