Cheers mate,check in every now and then but it,ll be a winner in the end. I,m sitting on some ctt too,heard they might re-list? RBS and woolworths account for most of my capital losses last year,kept a few rbs but need to get to about £6 to break even and happy tp mess around with lots of others as i dont have to worry about cgt for a long time!

Its all looking positive on this one from reading the posts,havent taken much notice of this one after chatting with riddler on this one a couple of weeks ago,put them into my divi portfolio and have to say reading their web-site,dont see any reason for that big drop other than an over-reaction to going ex-div at the time i bought in. Tipped in the weekend press at 4.80,drops to just over 4 qid and now creeping back up on huge volumes? Bought in at 4.11,expecting a rights issue after that big drop but nothing.................anyone?

and it wasnt so long ago we were buying lloyds shares at a discounted rights price,30-odd pence from memory,i take it you,re in these from monday on the first drop?

The way i see it is that those of us who hold shares are by now sitting on hefty paper losses which are marginally offset by the value of the 4/11 entitlement to buy at the lower figure,two options,sell the rights and sit on the paper loss remaining for the longhaul,or buy the entitlement which is effectively an averaging-down exercise and hope they spring back,assuming the take up is successful and by averaging down,the return to paper profit will happen sooner.I saw this happen with british land not so long ago. Either way this is one step back with the dalayed divi payments which is frustrating for me as that was my reason for investing in the first place. I have a similar dilemma with findul but this one is easier to solve as i believe this company is in great shape and will hopefully sort out some of their debt pile with this exercise,lets face it inchcape did a good job reducing theirs and are moving their company forwards now. So i,m buying the shares and if its longerterm sobeit,good luck all and if i,ve got this assessment wrong please post back,thanks

Funds,tell me about it.Just found myself with 2x have to buy or get wasted on the dilution scenarios in 1 week,rexam and findull and i suspect theres another one on the horizon so have used this rise to get out at break and had a general cull of some of my small holdings. I did suggest to my broker earlier that he should set up a unit trust in shares i sell as they always seem to go up afterwards,so i hope this will be the case for yourself here! Also bought some more costain as they have good potential and i dont need to check all the time,catch up soon mate

Just topped up at 27.875,not a complete bargain but good enough i think and there seems to be a bit of buying going on at the moment generally

Looks interesting,i like the target price! Looking to top up here if we see a dip,briefly obviously! As this has an acceptable div and a policy to increase, i,m quite relaxed to sit on these eitherway too

Had aq look over,took over another firm in jan,no mention of payable div,something to do with wood-free paper products(not unusual these days),good luck if you go in,personally not going to,plenty of others out there and to be honest the ramper put me off investing!

Been buzzing in and out of a few things the last week or two,small one here and holding,a few of those lpx you mentioned,feathering my bluechip nest with rexam and the oversold utilities,in and out of pearson in a week,in and out of gkp in 12 hours(with profit)and holding all manner of wierd and wonderful stocks,most of which are either showing a paper loss or profitable ones with such good yields i wont sell! On the mwana board,someone gave me access to a free live price website which proved its worth with my brief foray into gkp,if you cant find it,scroll back a few pages,its shareprice.something and even a luddite like me was able to hook on,assuming you havent got it or something like it already. I have a good feeling about jpr but dyor as they say,one of those funding things that could have a good run on the price,catch up soon mate,james

Just done a snap shot calculation the ex-rights price on take up approx 227p,not sure if this current price is oversold yet but will be taking up my full entitlement on existing holding,any opinions?

Oh well,heres the averaging down opportunity much rumoured,4 at1.50 for every 11 held

Thats what,s been said but it doesnt tally with their last upbeat statement,i suspect this is a drop on the confidence of the management rather than anything more fundamental,well i hope so cos i,ve just added to my existing holding!

for dividend-hunters,about 7% yield at this price. Over-reaction to the news,any other views?
