Looking very good today,nudging 30 again,maybe getting a boost on the back of balfour beatty,s surprising rise, i,ve got a few of them but never considered them as (potentially)exciting as these....

Thanks for your thoughts on this one, i,m at my target of quantity on these now,similarly with rexam,centrica,nat.grid,hawk,jpr,crnd,lonr,bae,tate,pvr,plus markets,cost and a multitude of others,somewhat of a mixed bag but it keeps my interest going! My target top ups are scottish and southern and might nab a few more centrica as they seem to have missed the recent rally but will wait a bit i think. Just remember reading the negative sentiment about the reits like land,hammerson a few months back and so bought in and have done well on them so hoping to repeat the exercise and also considering a first stab at pennon group but still looking into them,i guess if there was a further retrace here i would consider buying more to reduce my average and then trade a few out when they,re back over a fiver!

Another one to look into in this sector is scottish and southern,sorry dont know the code,fantastic yield and pretty much at target price!

Just doubled my holding (again) here,along with ng earlier in the week having dumped some various holdings elsewhere. I do believe theres a slight difference with buying these type of stocks i.e.investing rather than buying hoping for an immediate rise,firstly because they wont go bust,secondly they are currently oversold(its how the city boys make their money,things have to be manipulated up and down),and thirdly because of the yield. I was pleased to receive a div today as it turns out and i,ve used the recent market sentiment to achieve my target amounts in these,nat grid and get a first foothold in severn trent. I hope they dont keep falling but as long as the yield doesnt get totally hammered and when people think the banking and real estate sectors have tailed off,expect a bounce and if you can bear sitting on a profit when it comes,enjoy the dividends as i did mine today! Dont know anything about white and young but i know cost will be a winner,its been tipped all over the shop,target price 50-odd and there was a recent ft article where they were tipped as the "pick of the litter" for construction shares when the recovery happens,a bit cyclical maybe but its one i add to s.t.funds being on tap whenever the offer dips below 28,join me on that site as i dont want to annoy qed-posters anymore!

Cheers for the reassurance,went in a bit blind on the first dip yesterday having tracked the recent rise and panicked when it went down to c.77p immediately! Most of my real estate allocation is in land and hammerson which i dont worry about,i see this as a nice little add-on. As to tw,heard the big man explaining how well they are doing despite losing silly money on today just now and just sold mine and topped up on costain which is well worth a look in my humble opinion,i know they dont built houses but they have a forward order book of 2.4 billion and are a share of great promise(whether they deliver.........................!). House sales in my area are still very much in the doldrums with lenders only giving blue chip clients mortgages,minimum 20/25% deposits required,hefty arrangement/set up fees and the only factor propping up the prices is lack of stock as most people dont want to put their houses on the market due to the "hips debacle",anyway i,ve wandered here,good luck chaps!

Dont know about results etc but they operate in the area i live and you see their vans buzzing around everywhere which is reassuring i guess. They also pay a decent divi,or have done in the past,have a few of these tucked away along with galliford try and loads of costain in the construction sector,good luck if you get in,probably less volatile than our africa plays!

Got in a bit late here,85-ish,have i done the wrong thing,was impressed by their assets etc,misjudged the bottom here,hold,keep or get shot asap???

Good luck,out at just over 41,makes the yield somewhat irrelevent with that margin,clearly that big buy on friday has had a good run,may hop back in on a retrace,

Made a loss of 20-odd million but better than expected,interim dividend of 1.5p payable,go elm go!

Questor has given this a good buy tip,maybe the ellusive £4 will arrive sooner than later....good luck all!
