Okay bud,thanks for that,probably best keeping this one for the heavy discussions if you know what i mean,as i said it was a bit random and bothered me a bit since all my research has been pointing towards a when not if scenario and i,ve got too much in them to be taking all or nothing risks,as opposed to timescale risks. When we,re topslicing at 80,the hordes of "i,ve been holding these since 39p" will be all over the board and we,ll be sitting on a 100% profit!!!

Theres a chunky shopping list of shares at good prices at the moment mate but by and large, i,m going to stick with the ones i,ve got now as well and avoid the sell too quick problem,hope to use gambler proceeds to top up bluechips for yield but it never seems to work out that way! I think we must have mirrored each other quite a bit on here as at one stage i was knocking on the door of nearly 100 holdings,mostly small but now reduced to 8 blue chips and about 15 gamblers,the most significant being HAWK,MONI and reducing,MWA,PMK,newly arrived IFL,LONR etc but clinging to the hope that raymarine and cosalt might at least break even,under review but need another of noonrisers PYM,s i.e. a quick couple of grand if i,m going to take the hit on those two. I totally agree mate just a bit naffed off they seem to retrace everytime we hit 10p these days,one day,one day!

I,m thinking i prefer the SP rises on bad results! How many times have we touched 10p recently to drop back to 8? And today not even 10,a frustrating one i fear,never mind we,re forever longtermers here,i just think the only way to make any money on these is to keep a base holding and daytrade shed loads between 8 and 10, errr actually i,ve been doing that already!

Well no trades for me again today,still smarting from taking those recent losses but i,m sure it,ll come good again. You know 3 weeks ago i was within a whisker of breaking even on my whole portfolio,which is quite formidable as i held some shares prior to this year,so averaging down and active trading has been my saviour really,otherwise i,d have just sat on what would now be ludicrous losses on banks,bt,that sort of thing and joking aside i,m keen to hold what i have now,including the depleted cosalts,surely they,ll come good in time? I think we need another PYM, still working out how it would have been with the benefit of a crystal ball on that one 5p-37p in 2 days,just imagine putting everything in that eh!

May have just got some good news on one of my de-listers,UEN,dont you just hate it when they do that,might be a chance it seems,have a few like that,cattles,irvine energy,tomco,regency inns....not large holdings i hasten to add,but i know how you feel about those ICX ones. Like you,i dont tend to talk amounts of money to many people on these sites as it can be misconstrued but i think we have a good understanding of things on our private(most of the time)forum! I had no idea you were that heavily into the little bug..rs! No wonder you,re annoyed by them,1500 quid a point move the portfolio around a bit. I know where you,re coming from about taking a hit if your isa,s stuffed with them,thats a double whammy, my isa has got my never sell glaxo etc in plus a full years allocation of RBS in 2007,thats a paper loss i,ll tell you! To give you some idea of how sold i am on my flying/not yet flying things,you probably have an idea of the size of trades i do,well i have currently the big 100k of them, a grand a point and they move about quite a bit, follow me or pity me for that level of consolidated bet,and furthermore i,ve sat on paper profits of nearly 5 grand and losses the same as my average is 41p,normally i,d have flogged the lot with that kind of profit, i.e.they touched 47 a few weeks ago, but i really believe i,m going to hold for 60 before i chop a few out, unless i see BAe under £3 or something bluechip at february prices,which explains why i,ve been "culling"lots of things recently as i,ve been stake-building there on weaknesses,am i mad?

In view of the fact i flogged a load of mine,they,ll probably go up? i dont know mate,i had about 40k and kept 10k,lost about 700 quid on the ones i sold,so the keepers need to be about 20p for an overall breakeven for me now. It really depends where you,re putting the proceeds of sale, i.e. how sure are you the next one will be a runner? my advice, reduce your holding then we can both have a good moan if they go to 25p next month!

or the fsa for that matter, i,ve just given some lad on hawk financial advice about isa,s ,i hope i got it right!
