I'm not a geologist, so I had to lookup the meaning of "sidetrack".
1. vb. [Drilling]
To drill a secondary wellbore away from an original wellbore. A sidetracking operation may be done intentionally or may occur accidentally. Intentional sidetracks might bypass an unusable section of the original wellbore or explore a geologic feature nearby. In the bypass case, the secondary wellbore is usually drilled substantially parallel to the original well, which may be inaccessible due to an irretrievable fish, junk in the hole, or a collapsed wellbore.
2. n. [Drilling]
A secondary wellbore drilled away from the original hole. It is possible to have multiple sidetracks, each of which might be drilled for a different reason.

Looks like the secondary wellbore "usually" follows a parallel path to the original path of the cased well. The news and information learnt from the 700m well and the fact that the JV has decided to continue with another horizontal is encouraging. Not the best, but I take this news as a normal operating procedure in the drilling business and my glass remains "full".
Someone once said, "If you want to launch big ships, you have to swim in deep water". I raise and tip my pint to all of you who are "deep water" Falcon swimmers. Cheers and GLTA. As of right now, FOLGF is once again up to .17 USD (+6.92%).

This forum is my daily news (aka RNS) source. I really appreciate the depth of knowledge shared and the additional "read between the lines" analysis provided by our resident experts; the reading is most enjoyable.
Philip O’Quigley, CEO of Falcon said: “Preliminary results of the Kyalla 117 N2-1 vertical appraisal well represents an excellent re-start to the Beetaloo drilling program.”
He added joint venture between Origin and Falcon had decided to “immediately” proceed to the drilling of the horizontal section, signifying its confidence in the potential of the Kyalla shale.

If true, yes, this is very good news! I believe it's been mentioned already, but it's worth repeating: Maybe we'll hear some more good news by the end of December once the horizontal is completed. Let's hope so.
WW Quote: "Come on POQ - help us out a little here!!". :)) WW, your wish has been granted. Based on the timing, looks like POQ had his finger on the RNS release button at nearly the same time of your request. Ask, and you shall receive. This is really good news for all of us. Hopefully this is the beginning of the RNS roll.
This is what the letter reads:
For the purpose of Listing Rule 17.1, the Company provides the following information:
1. The trading halt is requested pending an announcement by the Company concerning a capital raise;
2. The Company requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of the release of an
announcement by the Company or 10am on Thursday, 21 November 2019; and
3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
gonoles - I'm certainly not versed in this area, but I've read before that these are MM transactions that send a signal to other MM's. Would anyone else like to chime in on these VERY small purchases? As I sit here drinking my wake-up coffee, I did enjoy philmickelson's response ;)
Hey RTW and KMJLIVESON, I too got took in by the so called 'investment' newsletter guy from TEXAS; finally got out and never looked back after so many losses. I too have met Bruner (in Vegas of all places) and POQ. I've been in Falcon since 2013 (nearly 6 1/2 years) and now sit at a loss of about a 40K. My cost basis in three accounts is 0.12, 0.16 and 0.21 cents USD per share; most at 0.21. It's been a rough road with all the ups and downs over the years, yet what's keep me around are the strong fundamentals of the underlying Beetaloo asset and belief that we have a "sleeping tiger-by-the-tail". I highly value the truly educational posts provided by a select group of contributors of this forum that have provided the "lift" I needed to stay the course. I do enjoy knowing that going forward, for every 0.01 cent increase in Falcon's stock price, my account goes up an additional 10K. I believe we are at the inception of what could be a life changing event for many of us. GLTA and I'm hoping to meet many of you in a future celebration of our good fortune. Let the press releases begin.
Nerves: I'm able to "Recommend"; I'm on a desktop PC running Windows 10 and Chrome browser. I am also able on a laptop running Windows Vista and Firefox. Just want to mention that I am somewhat "stingy" with my bag of "Recommend" tokens, though ;-)
