Article below headlines about protecting against Covid by losing weight but goes on to highlight the backlog of lung cases requiring tests etc and the issue of the oncoming ‘normal’ flu and cold season for sufferers, let alone the virus risk
The market for SNG has been skewed over the last few months and there has been strategic selling from certain IIs - also once the market knows that there is a concrete selling campaign it does impact the prevailing sp. if you want to see it inaction elsewhere take a look at Amigo Holdings where the largest shareholder (has been holding >60%) publicly declared an irrevocable sale of 1% per day until cleared. Has brought in all kinds of traders / speculators and created all sorts of conspiracy theories!
Here as well the SNG overall approach is to keep things relatively low key - I compare RM with AVACTAs CEO and see 2 very different styles. And I actually prefer RMs approach.
I understand that people perhaps are in uncomfortable positions where sp hasn’t reacted as some predicted / expected....but if it were that simple we would all be sitting on our boats in the sun now wouldn’t we?
Seb46 - rather than look at an ‘investor’ that is simply asset stripping its recent acquisition from a knock-down purchase price, look at one of the recent investors - Polar Capital - now holding just shy of 4%. A performing fund its Biotech fund is mainly invested in the US with just a 7% exposure in the UK. Its investment strategy is “....to identify cutting edge innovation....to invest where stock markets are under appreciating a company’s potential to transform medical practice... “ which Some might say is where SNG is at the moment. Clearly they see something here

Just to keep some perspective - I really do hope that some successful therapies come forward over the coming months - and yes, I’m invested and hope SNG is one of them leading the way. An effective home or early stage treatment would be a God-send - the following DM article highlights the shocking prognosis for those coming through induced coma and ventilation

Seb46 - with you on that....all speculation and time filling! However much huffing and puffing goes on, results will come out when RM is ready, sellers will keep on selling to their own agenda and buyers likewise.
The only real sense checking that I can do is to rerun my eyes over all the research that I’ve done on SNG and all the material that surfaces on Interferon B and other therapies that are being evaluated etc etc. And am I still confident in my investment - atm yes I am. Not much else I can do right now!
I bought in - think all the changes and new cash provide a very solid base to work from. This and other EU countries will build their way out of current crisis - infrastructure projects keep the economy invested....SIG should do well going forward
It was a highly leveraged deal - and bought at a knockdown price so by stripping out and selling off a number of the assets you quickly achieve a good return on the deal. Link sold at a significant discount - SNG has provided good profit to Acacia as have some of the others.
Their core business is working with small companies that have lots of IP in patents etc and they work on exploiting those and also through litigating any breaches.
SNG has just been a row name on a spreadsheet - just good old fashioned asset stripping
I believe that the first few months of a new CEO defines what will happen to the business over the next couple of years - with SF not only does he appear to have stopped the rot, in a difficult period for everyone, he has taken decisive steps to refocus the business, bring in a stable investor base and add vital liquidity. In my opinion he’s done a cracking job in very short time. Fingers should more be pointed at the outgoing team who screwed up what had previously been a decent operation
Nolupus - let me use an analogy. I’m a property developer and I acquire a large piece of land pre planning. Whilst I go through the process of getting permission (plans and working with local development team - likely to take me 12-18 mths) I have lined up 2 national builders to acquire the site with PP and have agreed term sheets etc and allowed them due diligence which includes all the survey results / draft plans etc in order to negotiate the land value for the deal. As soon as PP granted the sale transaction completes
By my reckoning the last hospital patient would have received final dose on 23/6 so the raw trial data would now have been in circulation for about a week. With so many different parties involved it is incredibly difficult to completely stop information leaking even with all the usual confidentiality agreements in place - and the longer the time until publication the greater the danger of leaking.
And of course it’s not just the people involved with the data itself, RM is having all sorts of discussions with different ‘interested’ parties.....and it’s a relatively small world. Add in a seller maybe still looking to catch a quick turn on some of their holding, and a hungry buyer at an attractive price, and the MMs can happily shift volume within a fairly tight price range.
All positive to me......and that clock is ticking....another day closer to the big reveal!
Works both ways though - if Acacia & Lansdown have held then that can be construed as a positive - they cashed in an amount but now are holding on for the ‘news’! And actually looking around at others like Avacta, where there seems to be a more constant stream of RNS feeds, they’re no further forward - their PIs now demanding ‘more meaningful and real news’! And guess what - they’re waiting on results too and equally impatient. Oh - and their current SP is below the last placing......
Richard - what is your message to shareholders was the question asked....”we are an event driven company” was the answer - imho there are a couple of events being lined up - meanwhile this is AIM and the SP is played with, a bit here and a bit there.....usually some will give up their holdings, boredom or impatience, running to the next gold run share. For me nothing has changed - I think the whole backstory of SNG is compelling - am now just waiting for the first event!
