1. It seems the Gov are covering their back as regards legal nonsense from the GLP. At this point in time the GLP don't have a leg to stand on and the government have now created a legal tendering framework in which going forward Abingdon will tender. Being though the AbC-19 is really the preferred antibody LFT and the fact that it is a stated goal of the UK government to buy from home grown LFT suppliers, The Gov can 'legally' (in the eyes of GLP) award these contracts and the GLP can go FO.
2. Based on Stated Court documents found here; https://drive.google.com/file/d/13qUdrgWM0IQKuy1w4SkrVPqZz_R2h33v/view
Page 717 C43 then it would seem we have been awarded MHRA approval for home use. The words specifically state: "Moreover, the purchase of the home-use tests is conditional upon MHRA-approval for home-use which has since been obtained"
3. Nothing has actually been cancelled. Instead the Government has decided not to purchase any more product above the first 1 million via the original contract. Abingdon will need to tender for any antibody tests via the Government's dynamic purchasing strategy tender process
4. The AbC19 test is CE marked. The Gov contract expires on the 14th Feb, after that AbC-19 test can be sold freely. It has a CE mark for professional use under the Maltese Medicines Authority. It has a UK CE Mark and has also been resubmitted to FDA. So we will be able to sell in the UK, the whole of Europe, most of Asia I expect and maybe the US when FDA is relooked at. This test equates to just a small percentage to ODX future sales
5. Abingdon have released an RNS clarifying their position here Investegate |Abingdon Health PLC Announcements | Abingdon Health PLC: Media Clarification
6. ODX have issued their support via twitter stating A welcome clarification from @Abingdon_Health - The outlook for Omega Diagnostics remains unchanged, and we continue to be very excited about future prospects. #ODX
7. Saseefeldt, Real, DD and Twatcher are still derampers and anything they say should be ignored.
Well it seems obvious what is happening here, the Gov are covering their back as regards any legal nonsense from the GLP. At this point in time the GLP don't have a leg to stand on and thus the government have now created a legal tendering framework in which Abingdon will tender but of course as they are the best and probably the cheapest and the fact that it is a stated goal of the UK government to buy from home grown LFT suppliers, then they can 'legally' (in the eyes of GLP) award these contracts and the GLP can go FO.
pablo not exactly sure what you hope from me in this respect other than to say congratulations in increasing your holding in ODX, selling at 70p was risky though.
Personally, I was looking to purchase more in ODX myself also, but I was doing it from other funds. I am not saying never to sell shares in ODX, I have sold many times to buy back more, always with the intention of increasing my holding, this I have done successfully and I am happy with my lot now, unless silly opportunities come along like today.
However selling in the hope of getting more is not what I would recommend if you are starting out and already have a profitable entry, the markets are full of ways to relieve you of your shares cheaply and I have been doing this for over 15 years, make of that what you will.
The reason Abingdon only dropped a bit is the fact that this whole thing is a storm in a teacup, and if you look at the AIM rule 26 for investors in Abingdon you will note;
NPIF YHTV EQUITY LP (Mercia) 18,071,164 18.9%
Dr Christopher Hand 11,228,868 11.7%
CatenaLucis LLC 7,266,264 7.6%
Chris Yates 6,513,844 6.8%
Thornapple LLP 6,113,124 6.4%
Touchstone Innovations Businesses LLP 4,190,560 4.4%
Unicorn Asset Management 4,167,750 4.4%
Chelverton Asset Management Ltd 3,906,000 4.1%
Axa Investment Managers 3,600,000 3.8%
University of Birmingham 3,454,496 3.6%
Hence their shareholder base is not predominantly private investors that panic and can be panicked by the trolls, some unfortunately (that have not done enough research in my opinion) are led by social media, twitter and the like thus we are more volatile.
I put up with it as we are imo the best company by a country mile regarding LFT's diagnostics, Covid testing and the like. We will eventually be rated to the level the company deserves, but the cost is having to put up with days like today.
"JAdam - let’s have a look at the pumped & dumped website and the LSE Rampers list. I bet you are quite high up on that."
Yes might well be, however if (once again) you did your research you might understand how that site works, actually not a lot different from this site, in that one moves up a board if people tick them up, or they post a lot.
What that says to me is I do my research, I take time to present it in a factual and concise way and share it, hopefully helping others and in so doing so, also supporting the company I am invested in.
Whereas both you, and pumped and dumped, work on the basis that the more optimistic and supportive of a company you are, this automatically equals ramping.
Thus unfortunately you will find no negative comment from me about ODX in my entire 6000 plus posts (you are welcome to look) thus surely for a pumped and dumped, one needs to be negative for the dumped, to do it again.
Otherwise surely I'm just a 'pumped' PMSL at your efforts.
Judge, I understand that approach, however if everyone filters or ignores the idiots, the ones that do not are left only with a board, where all the trolls have a stage to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting and with no one here to take them to task.
Many years ago (around 2009) there used to be a great bulletin board associated with interactive investor, (they lost it, did an upgrade that was so awful everyone left). They used to have a facility to not just tick up, but also tick down a post, this is what you need here and then the ability to filter by positive or negative posts and set a level, that way anyone that is totally disruptive as judged by the board can be filtered to all.
Nice to see the full tag team together again, should see twatcher here momentarily then we really will have the three stooges complete. I expect each of their posts to get at least 2 ticks up (from each other).
Yes you are right DD, I would sell if I was you, quickly now, then you can be free of this board.
Guess what maybe it's you that are miffed, my average is a fraction of the price right now thus is excellent profit, so no I am not wishing I sold at 80p as I intend selling closer to £5 than 80p.
Although off course with hindsight everyone likes to sell high and buy low, however I'm not worrying about it, your comment is just silly, it sounds like your just trying to get a rise, hard to do with someone in profit you know.
"One step forward , 3 steps back with odx."
Wrong, we were at 52p last Thursday, I would say 4 steps forward 2 steps back and all the time that continues it means an uptrend.
Too many panicking here, once the really weak are out we will have a more stable share price.
Really iphone do some research, you do really make yourself look stupid, do you really want to continue doing this.
Show me where it says the AbC-19 can't be sold, it currently is not being sold in to the Gov under the contract, however that first refusal to the Gov expires on the 14th Feb, after that it can be sold. It has a CE mark so can also be sold into Europe for professional use under the Maltese Medicines Authority. It has also been resubmitted to FDA.
So we will be able to sell in the UK, the whole of Europe, most of Asia I expect and maybe the US when FDA is relooked at. And it equates to just a small percentage to ODX, we are Omega here you know not Abingdon, you may be on the wrong board!!!
Rudolph please do a bit of research before posting such drivvel. 25/03/20 high of 23.5p. If you want to get really pedantic;
- 14/04/20 high of 22.5p
- 15/04/20 high of 22p
- 16/04/20 high of 21.5p
I could go on but you get my drift.
"JAdam - you are only upset because he was right and you were wrong."
DD, you and iphone and real, you're all in the same boat. I'll never get upset at what iphone or the rest of you say, you all really have nothing valid to say.
As for iphone he has already been made to look at absolute idiot over the IQ saga. No, the ONLY thing that upsets me is I wasn't able to take advantage of the drop, I know how this market works and I don't sell on those stupid games, I buy. On this occasion I couldn't and that's what irks me, not a little pleb like yourself, or iphone.
What was also disgraceful was the action of the brokers, never have I had so much trouble buying, I was laying out just about any amount they wanted to charge and yet no order at all, yet just about anything would be taken of me if I wanted to sell (as if ).
Do not think that all these twitter people are independent, some imo have very close or should say too close a tie with brokers!
Alias's registered by posters that have them sat on the side, just waiting for an opportunity to spread anonymised lies.
I'm sorry if anyone got tied up in all this, but it is the nature of these lying scum to enrich themselves at the expense of others. Very much like you recognise the poorly written scam emails, you now need to learn how these scams work on BB's.
Always, always question what you read here and ALWAYS from posters of anything less than a healthy number of posts, do not look at age from when registered, many of these are registered years ago and held in wait.
lol "over-inflated expectations" REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't think I had over-inflated my expectations to expect the shareprice to NOT crash by almost 40% of its highs in March, particularly after subsequently posting no less that 11 brilliant RNS's.
Yes my expectation was not that each and every good news RNS would slowly push the price down further and further - What the hell would a bad RNS do!
On the current direction I would suggest that Cooper keep his powder dry, a profit warning and he'll be able to buy the company at this rate.
