With yesterday's tragic news and a full weekend ahead....the one positive I can draw is that today would have been the day for any company to dump any bad news..some have definitely taken the opportunity....maybe just maybe CASP are on the brink of a positive update!

Investeg my thoughts exactly....I suspect a sale might come sooner than expected. Major companies with deep pockets may see the deeps as a real opportunity and something worth taking the risk on. A JV I think is out of the question as CASP have proved for years that regulation and scrutiny are not a framework that they work well within. What would be a sensible sale price $750m...30p?

You could be right. Personally I'd like to see the company buy back shares. They'd be in a position to pay themselves more of the profit in dividends, whilst removing a potential future seller.

802 not drilled through the same structure as the other deeps...so possible they won't encounter the same drilling issues. Pointless posting anything positive with the SP languishing at 3p...forget pipeline shut ins etc. they were costed in at 5p+...current SP totally due inaccurate comms from CC. Until they start filling their pockets with dividends or telling an element of truth we'll be down here for a while unfortunately

Costs are met in Tenge and oil is sold in $s very low production costs, zero debt and a target of 8000bopd should see substantial profits and dividends even at a discount on today's prices....

Not sure why we need Limerick on the BOD? Clearly he is not fulfilling his role as a non-exec in representing all shareholders. Maybe time however futile to suggest that he is replaced. He has on my behalf sanctioned the boat deal, the 3AB deal, the debt for equity deal and the purchase of drilling equipment...not one of those deals works for anyone outside the concert party and at some point need to be challenged. Maybe the 400 or so shareholders could club together and suggest an alternative candidate?

Gordon Brown spent $20bn on an IT system for the NHS that didn't work. The government need to build at whatever coat a parallel IT system that can at some point be switched over to...until the IT can stand up to the volume investment elsewhere is futile IMO
