The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
The sentiment in this share is so fickle!
I'd like to think metro was never really up for sale, someone's seen an opportunity at the current share price and have been laughed out the boardroom, why would all the major share holders sell anywhere near here?
I'd hate to think they've seen somthing they don't like or what's possibly coming with the FCA and decided to run a mile.
For the sake of the share price I think the board need to fill in some gaps here
The bank isn't currently failing, this is not a "Bail out" so I think its safe to say the current share price should be nowhere near the sale price. Whats the value of the company.. assests and loan books etc?
The majority of the shares are not held by the likes of us, whats the incentive for a quick few % for the bigger holders when they could just wait a few years when things could look totally different?
I think we could be looking at a decent price here
No one is FORCED to get a high interest loan.
Just because you believe they should get a pay rise, and rightly so, doesnt mean they handle their finance's well. The reason some people turn to high interest is because they have depleted other options for being terrible with money, not purely because they are under paid
With the mention of a bid that brings me onto another thought. With the share price so low and idea that metro could be snapped up by a large bank, why would natwest pay 3bil for the mortgage loan book alone when they could have potentially bought out the whole bank for much much less.. unless that is of course that metro is not not forsale or takeover
Is it possible to put in a FOIA request against the FCA in regards to how much progress has been made in this case?
I know you CAN submit a FOIA request but unsure if it works with ongoing investigations
Freetrade changed to £2 minimum transaction so can't buy a single share on there
But arnt a higher percentage of shares with other share holders now? Whom ever has been buying his shares will be voting for him surely
wrong bored!
My average here is £1.69. With this rise having no real explanation, would you cash out and run away at the first site of breaking even on this torturous share or would you hold for profit?
I'm tempted to run but its owes me for my stresses
Seen one couple of days ago from ted baker. Offered 4 shares at reduced for every 7 currently owned
Platforms like freetrade run 15min behind, theres no fee for buying and I assume it's a way if testing the price
"An investigation was launched by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. The inquiry is expected to last another year.
The lender’s new chief executive, Daniel Frumkin, said last week that he expected more staff to leave in the coming months. The warning came as Metro reported it was significantly scaling back expansion plans as part of a strategy to rein in costs after a £130m annual loss."
Hardly painting a great picture is it. I'm sure they could find a positive to end the article so it's not all doom
I previewed a few different artists and I thought you'd be in the crowd, like at a real concert. Most angles are on the stage or up in the air. Just expected more. Some of you might be chuffed as nuts with that but for all the hype, I expected more
I've just downloaded the app on my oculas and previewed a few acts... not impressed really
Fee free transactions are done at the end of the day and they claim the average investment from the typical freetrade investor is about £50 so yeah around this time we will see lots of small transactions. You can pay £1 and have it done instantly but that's 20 shares worth here so no ones gonna do that
Just want to post as this has been a dry chat since 2019! Not much happening on all levels here
Anyone else in amigo? Putting themselves up for sale could be a quick profit with the sp dropping to 50p
Dont think they've has it, still running TV ads which arnt cheap but agreed nothing happends here, much more eventful over at mtro and sxx
