I've never held a share where the company is sold. What do you do? Do you sell or wait for the cheque plus a few GVC shares? Thanks for any advice. IWH PS 61p I think was my tip a few weeks ago based on a 15% uplift from the original offer so I'm quite chuffed about being right although I would rather have been wrong with a 71p offer!

How can it be. This share is crazy or am I missing something. Good news and the share drops. It happened a couple of months ago. Then the share rises into a strike. The strike then gets called off and all back to work and the share price drops as a result. Is this the only comany on earth where strikes help the SP? Last week I was a moment and a post button press away from posting that the SP was back to my average before the SP pulled back and every day since (or more or less) it has fallen back to near its recent previous bottom. Now I'm nervous that it may not get the support around the 100p that it had. Damm it! However I HOLD for better days and will always look for opportunity to buy.

I'm still tipping that they will up their initial offer by 15% - so 61p. IMHO

Much coverage in the papers and they appear to be suggesting William Hill will up the bid to £400m or there about. Thats an increas of about 15% on the current position so it equates to about 61p per share bid. Only one report I read suggest someone might need to offer 100p. There is a lot of water to go under the bridge oin this one I feel.

Thanks also - fair point made. I guess with 52p already on the table it should have some strong support at that level. I guess there is little risk in waiting a little longer.

I think the down grade is to 32p. I'm not selling one downgrade. agree with you completely - spot on. Oh well this has just become a long term hold with an aim of 100p. Wouldn't have felt so bad but everything else is way red today.

I have followed (invested) in this share for several months, seeing a very steady and respectable rise. I have had full confidence in it - good reports and announcements of new contracts etc etc then wamm - a profit warning and all my gain gone in a flash! I guess I have a lot to learn in this investing game. Recent directors buys is the only thing that helps albeit they were 6 months ago and older.

Interesting full page article in the Times outlining yesterdays news re possible suitor for the Monaco and Islands Unit. The article went on to outline how such a sale would singificantly tidy up the business of its disperate setup making it a target for a external buyer. America Movil was put forward as a possibility. They may have dropped today albeit in line with the wider market but I get a good feeling about my small holding and I'm therefore going to tuck them away and watch the longer game. I think they are a buy but I have no more funds at the moment. May need a clear out?

Good to see your post. I appreciate you are in a lot higher than me. My target is based upon uplift from my buy in at about 72p giving me 33% rather than upon detailed knowledge and research. Sadly I'm not a shares guru but just a beginner. All that said I'm quite prepared to ammend my target and holding so if you have some knowledge to impart in any thinking that the share has more potential then I will be pleased to consider it if your willing to share.

and spent most of the days trading above its close. %.8% up on the week and 7.25% 0n the last month. If we go back a bit further we see 30% rise in three months. I for one would like to see another 30% over the next 3.

Solid performance yet agan and another 2p back for Gerefan (and all of us). Tried a couple of times to punch 171p which is pleasing. Good growth across the week and steady which I personally like.

Ops -- sorry to upset you. But I notice you haven't posted much and for some while. I guess gains depends on your perspective. I wasn't in last April and have a holding at 143.96p. For me it is definately a gain. Sorry for your loss. Anyway after a less than positive start to our joint holding heres looking to a continued rise well past your 174 or whatever you hold at. This share is now testing its high of 83.5 back in early 2007. It tried to get into the 83p twice but couldn't hold. If it can break through 83 (next resistence 83.33), I think it can make further gains and I have a 95 target and nothing appears to be changing my mind. Any thoughts? .............................. is anyone out there?

1.33% rise again (best part of 2p) at close with a day high or 168.8p. The repeated daily rise continues and I'm chuffed.
