Agree with Neversell that it's each to their own, however I think Ventura and Azura are getting a little tiered.

Shareholder benefits. The currently published shareholder benefits only cover cruises upto and including 31st December 2024. This was approved at the 2023 AGM.

Nothing has been published yet regard 2025 shareholder cruise benefits from the April 24 AGM, so we wait with baited breath.

Personally I think it will be approved for another year.

If you were on Ligurian and drop to Baltic then you loose having your formal attire pressing. If you drop from Baltic to Caribbean you forfeit half price clothes dry cleaning.

You only forfeit Baltic if you don't cruise for at least 8 nights with P&O in the past 3 years period. You only drop from Ligurian if you don't sail for 26 night in a rolling 3 year period.

To be honest Ken I can't see many people moving to a different cruise line with little or no loyalty benefits just because they won't get their suit pressed!

Someone who cruises less than 8 days in a rolling 3 year period hardly constitute 'loyal customers ' in my humble opinion.

Also bear in mind that this isn't a change of loyalty policy but a reversal of the suspension of the 3 year rule due to Covid.

I must declare that I am not a follower of charts or put to much store on mirror performance from one period of time to another albeit I do recognise traits in share price movements around quarterly reporting of the various cruise companies.

That said I would be interested to understand where you have got your data to outline your figures of a 16 percent rise during the Bank Holiday week last year. Needless to say I'm not sure they are correct either side of the pond. Of course I will be happy to be wrong.

All that said I'll be very happy if your Cristal ball is correct!

I can assure you that the flight back from our Caribbean cruise was with Norse on a Dreamliner. 2nd march 24.

As to whether or not it's a regular route I can't say, but it was a plane used to replace a TUI flight from Gatwick which had a damaged door.

As for the company - the plane was very clean, food good, complimentary drinks and in-flight entertainment. Staff were very professional.

We flew back from Barbados earlier this year on a Norse Dreamliner.

Cruise line P&O has announced that it will be flying passengers to the Caribbean on TUI Airways, Norse Atlantic Airways and Virgin Atlantic this winter.

I'm sure that this is a positive step.

Bhants, I believe it's around now each year that it gets discussed/approved for the following year.

Blue light card holders - Police/Fire/NHS get up to £100 OBC if cruises booked direct with P&O and 10 percent off cruise if booked directly with Princess.

Ken - I agree that it's not a given at all. It's only currently approved for cruises until the end of 2024.

I suspect that at some point they will maintain the benefit but increase the minimum holding particularly if the share price remains relatively low

Was provoked by Bhants post to Ken about keeping 100 shares. So I took a look at my shareholder OBC.

I bought my first tranche in early 2022. Since then I have had £1110 in free OBC plus I have £600 more in the pipeline from cruises booked.

As long as Carnival continues with the benefits I won't be selling below the 100 minimum. As a regular cruiser it's a no brainer!

Ken, totally agree as in one of my comments yesterday about pushing customers to other brands. Particularly as it will be impossible to police at embarkation. I guess easier to police at port stops but can you imagine the nightmare and storage issues following a stop in Gibraltar!

In order to increase the value of the share price we all want CCL to make efficiency saving, tighten loop holes to reduce waste/increase profits and maximise on board spending (43 percent of overall income), yet we don't really want it to directly effect our personal cruising.

Like I said human nature is very interesting!

Agreed as it will push more cruisers towards a Drinks package which are more profitable than pay as you go with carry on. Just hope it doesn't push passengers towards non Carnival brands.

Significant changes to Drinks Package pricing and policy of what can And can't be taken on board for 'cabin' consumption. Particularly noticed No SPIRITS allowed to be taken on board and only 1 litre of wine or champagne on first embarkation only.

Queen Anne. Not too pricey Imo. Picked up 14 nights in November for £900 (inside) with 650 dollars on board spend+ shareholder benefits. Bargain! 1 of 4 we have booked including 2 P&O and 1 Holland and America.

Betterlife, if I thought that CCL would approach anyway near £6 then I would be selling all my holding and waiting to buy back at under £7 and as close to £6 as I dared. As it happens I don't think it will drop that low unless the Middle East seriously deteriorates. I suspect that it will continue to bubble and as a result the SP might drop a little more. In which case I will top up but only if it drops below circa £9.

As for long term investors - only 28 percent is in the hands of private investors which means 72 percent is owned by funds/internal owners/etc which is (the 72 percent) I think massive considering there is no dividend and not of investment grade.
