Not sure Ryan.I remember CF saying in the past there were opportunities to develop CHIMs from scratch but also access ones already developed or maybe that could be modified.
That reduces cost and time to develop and we know CF is a master at getting a bargain

This is fulfilling the promise CF made about developing a series of CHIMs including Malaria,AMR and Noravirus.
This is a great RNS in terms of future earnings and in positioning ORPH as clear global leader in HC trials plus raising barriers to entry.
I do wonder if this was one they have acquired as a mainly proprietary item rather than develop themselves

With a first time use in humans for the Covid Vax,a new nano delivery system to go for a completely new method of getting the Vax into humans via 2 different needle free systems would be a very novel but risky step.
By using a proven proprietary system like Pharmajet just seems very logical especially given the fact we have no other indication of it being developed internally

Not suggesting we are talking any different but I thought it was a im injection that Nottingham were working on and surely any change towards a needle free delivery system would be a huge redirection.

Thanks for feedback.They are obviously confident that they have the two delivery systems ready to put into trials in the not too distant future.
The peptide based nanoparticle delivery system for the plasmid in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, which would be more suitable for mass immunisation has gone very quiet hence I would be surprised if they have refocused all their attention onto needle free systems without us hearing anything.
But until we see trial detail we won’t know

That is one reason why I put it down as the lesser of the 2 reasons and totally accept what you say about the different types and environment for recruiting of trial patients.
However I do believe that SCLP is held back a little by its track record of seeming to struggle to reach FPI. I quoted the Combo trial as being an example of this and don’t forget it is 6 years since that trial was first mooted and at least 9 months before the Pandemic when we were told it was starting.
Anyway the important point is to reach FPI as quickly as possible

Agree with some others that FPI will be an inflection point in the SP.
The major inflection point will be in the data but I would not underestimate FPI due to considerations.
1. The major one being it confirms everything is ready for trial commencement so Product,delivery mechanism etc.
2. Given the history of SCLP in announcing initiation of trials but not announcing FPI as in SCIB 1/Combo then I do believe it will represent a major step forward.

Crumbs I would not worry about the rate op uptake as sure there will be plenty of unvaccinated trial patients to choose from.
In fact current progress may help as Bermuda said we don’t know if part 2 of SA trial will be testing new patients or doing “ boosters” in existing patients

Virtually every post here is their individual opinion and of course we are entitled to freely agree or disagree.If posters agree like I often do with Bermuda it does not mean that it is in collusion or an attempt to curry favour or to have a go at someone we may disagree with.
I will change my views of news changes or someone persuades me otherwise.
So yes like many I was critical of how the CH news was released and thought on Thursday that the SP would be hit yesterday.
Obviously that thought was before the positive RNS regarding start of the SA trial so my earlier view would change.
So yes I was wrong in my assessment of yesterday SP performance and glad as I would rather be wrong and better off but the news picture was altered and then the news changed again with the Diggle buy.
Anyway we all have different levels of tolerance and stress so there are bound to be the odd bout of friction but sure not many take these things so seriously that we ever forget that there are more things that unite us like a rising SP than divide us

Thanks for reasonable response.
Yep agree that it is very hard for small bio pharma to advance the drug development of any assets on its own without “ commercial partners” to Approval but it was purely the point about them being able to advance their assets through the trial process that I wanted to evidence.
Anyway we both know our positions and look forward to another good run next week.
Chester yep the staff number may be higher than 22 and SCLP has recruited a lot of staff which bodes well for entering the next stage in its development.
Personally doubt they will take it into p3 on their own due not only to the high cost but I expect any validation of either SCIB 1 Combo and/ or Modi or Covidity p1 I expect a commercial deal or deals to move us forward

You may have me filtered already so be it but as others have said you do seem pretty aggressive and fine to disagree with any poster.
However when you personally attack a very respected and balanced poster like Bermuda who only seeks to respond when directly asked to comment/ when a post is directly aimed at him/ or to post information in a very neutral way then expect to be challenged and everyone can make their own view.
Particularly on this occasion when it seems clear to me that your insistence that SCLP cannot run a p1 trial and that your talk of “ partnerships” was clearly aimed at commercial partnerships so that a third party would finance/ help with the trials is simply not true.
The “ partnership “ evidence you highlight in the RNS is clearly an academic type arrangement to develop the delivery mechanism etc and not a commercial deal involving any monetisation.
Plus a previous bio you were invested in managed to run two p3 trials with less than 6 employees so I hardly think that SCLP with 22 employees abd have a proven track record of conducting p1/2trials previously with a much smaller team
So if you manage to read this fine if I am not already on the green list or please just put me on it as at least I will be in good Company
