Really good to see the current publicity for SCLP in attracting interest and spreading the word.Ironic it was DE that spent his own money and used his own contacts to initiate the original publicity and now we are gaining traction amongst the media he may well be seeking to exit as he has stated in an orderly manner

All the pharma Company's I have worked for and I have been through outright sales, JVs,takeovers,and mergers etc would never consider buying a CRO for a whole host of reasons so it will imo be a general CRO or a Pharma services Company like you mention.
They will have no interest whatsoever in the non core assets and would simply divest them if they came as a ORPH package but they certainly would not seek to maximise the value as CF will.
Bit like putting your house on the market with a bug garden but no Planning Permission and a half built extension.Yes if you are a distressed seller you may sell early but better if you get the PP and finish the extension before putting it in the market

I am not saying ORPH is up for sale but it would be a very attractive proposition as a niche CRO in a very hot space.
Makes total sense to dispose of the non core assets before you would want to position it for a sale.
Firstly the Company’s most interested in ORPH will likely be another CRO or a conglomerate like SGS with a strong interest in CRO activities.Any CRO will be after the core business and view any non core assets as a distraction and something they would have to dispose off themselves.
Secondly, the non core assets contain a number of Vaccine and drug development programmes which any CRO would not want in its P/F as it could compromise its position to attract big pharma as clients if they are competing in sane space.
Thirdly,CF is likely to think he can create the most value re the divestment of the spin offs rather than add them to the core business in an attempt to beef up a sale.Not only will this result in a poor incremental value add but the process is not the best way to add value like an IPO can.
Fourthly,CF is in a much better position to monetise these assets than any potential overall buyer.Imagine how complicated it will get with Immutex and pREP with co owners of Conserv Bio and JandJ.

So the boss if Pharmajet is saying offers benefits over and above the alternative electroporation which is the previous delivery method of Immunobody.
This is most important but to me of the announcement today given electroporation was chosen for a specific reason of improving the access to within cells on the DNA Plasmid but of course is totally impractical for a mass vaccination programme

Here is a post from Marcus from another BB which helps explain the choice of Pharmajet is much more about simple avoiding needle phobia it is about improving the immune response.

Thanks for considered and detailed response.Goes a long way towards explaining rationale as not clear from Pharmajet site about wider benefits of using their delivery systems apart from obvious needle free ones

Would appreciate your input into whether the fact the chosen Pharmajet system to be used is targeting ID and IM rather than SC does that make it better in terms of reaching and activating the APCs.
Also do you think the jet pressure system is purely about penetrating the skin or will it play any role in getting through the outer cell walls and enter the cells.

Normally we would be able to access this info from published sources but now we have had the Pharmajet news confirmed even though it was entirely expected since the LD presentation was released I think we will here about FPI will be very soon
Do you know if ethical Approval has to be given as part of SA process?

I don’t think AB is highlighting anything that SCLP won’t be very aware of and that he is just highlighting some of the possible outcomes.
RM are a hedge fund so by their very rationale they will seek to cover their bets both in the event of SCLP being a roaring success and also if progress is slower than anticipated.When they initially.came in it was a real game changer imo and likes of DE was really enthusiastic.
If you recall it was the additional CLN funding by Redmile that was the subject to a factional fight and at the second attempt the vote got through and the outcome of these are what AB has mainly posted about.
SCLP fully supported this additional investment by RM and the Nov 2022 gave them ample time to produce the trial data needed to monetise the Science which SCLP has always stated as a priority.
I just think RM who are an excellent investor have given SCLP every opportunity to progress the science and maybe the departure of CH was to do with not sufficient progress being made but at the same time are covering the position.
I really think the points AB has eloquently made are very interesting and should be considered in the context that RM will determine here but are still aligned to SH

The seller whoever it is does not strike me as being distressed or needing the cash as the SP would have crashed plus his vehicle IIG still has cash.
Not saying DE stating his intentions on a public board which is unusual has not got a reason for doing so but does seem odd behaviour to announce in advance you are selling as it is giving a signal to the market.
As you say we will probably never learn the truth and I do think that within 6-12 months one of the shots at goal will hit the back of the net and we will all be rewarded

My view is we should take DE at his word so as we know he said he would be divesting his investment here but would do so in an orderly market.
It may be him selling or not we simply don’t know and to try and state unequivocally that it is or is not him is imo pointless.
He has given his reason for his decision as taking a different stance on the issue of corporate governance from the BoD including presumably CH and he considers it an important point of principle.So I don’t see any evidence for thinking he is upset or he has thrown his toys out of the pram and he is a very experienced expert on bio pharma investing who likely knows a lot more about disposing of a large number of shares in an efficient way than the majority of us on here.
There is no evidence to suggest he needs the money or of some argument over a possible lowball takeover.At the end of the day Redmile and Vulpes will decide the outcome here as they have the control and we can all run the numbers.
It may be that CH was removed at the behest of RM but more likely to be a performance issue or a personal issue than a difference of opinion over the future of the Company.CH did not strike me as being a man seeking control of the destiny of SCLP and would have been happy with either of the speculated outcomes.
We don’t know why Zakari was set up but we will find out in the fullness of time.
I can’t offer any insight into what us happening behind the scenes but in the balance of probabilities is more likely to be just getting on with progressing and monetising the science rather than some of the more speculative suggestions on here about a BoD argument about some impending low ball takeover vs a high ball £multiple offer in the future.

I may be completely wrong and Notts Uni may have come up with some amazing needle free delivery system themselves but on balance of probability since no one has heard mention of it and being so close to trial starting and the wish to not have too many completely new aspects in the Vacibes makes me think it is proprietary and they are available

I know it sounds contradictory but I think some have confused needle free meaning they can’t be an injection so have thought along line of patches for eg.
Needle free think a BCG Injection so basically does not need to be injected by a needle penetrating the skin but more jet pressured

Morning yes Burble that was new info on the 2 needle free delivery systems which I took from presentation.
Both systems are available commercially hence my thoughts they will be proprietary.Think it also confirms they will be injections which as you say is good for the whole platform but rules out imo “ patches” etc

AB you seem to know a lot about the trades here and the SP movement so do you think the 2 paired 100k trades were rollovers and how do you judge the 500k and 378km.
I must admit I think only in terms of supply and demand and the SP response and always bow to others greater experience when they talk about the dark arts and whether it is a buy or a sell never mind who is doing it and for what reason.
Must admit in my main share there was lots of speculation as to who the seller was and why and they all turned out to be wrong.
