I care more about net profit as that is the bottom line when a fund manager is scanning through results of hundreds of companies.

no seems like market dislikes a glass completely full. except a 0.5% reduction in EBIDTA.

but does the 8.7% reduction on EPS quantitatively justify the share price to fall more than half. I am still an advocate of the company.

but they're close to breaching the EBIDTA related banking covenant. but then several fund managers etc have increased their holdings. I always think hedge funds know everything as to what is going on.

I understand that for it to be considered a growth shares it has to have EPS growth of at least 10% year on year. From the analysis work I have done this is an opening.

good argument. but in my view if you take into account prospective PE ratio this could have a big upside.

the way its priced right now below £3 a share the market is anticipating pre tax profit to be half compared to last time. interestingly the last time the share price was slightly below £3 like this was in 2012. and pre tax profit was around £150m. So market is probably pricing this with expected net earnings of around £100m. As I believe in the long term share prices always revert back to earnings or at least earning potential all things being equal in a conventional trading company. Now the market has missed a trick here. Because if the market had paid attention to the interims instead of being distracted by the media circus it would have priced in the fact that EBITDA had grown in FY2016 H1 by around 7.6% to £218.5m. in a nutshell heavily mispriced. and we have the media circus to thank for that.

it makes no difference. non-EU people already come to UK on work permits. post brexit, you will still get cheap labour from the eastern European countries. just means they will need to get a work permit. brexit it means they can't scrounge. If you don't have a work permit you can't get in. I think that's fair.

PE ratio is now less than 7 LOL its turning into a Slater stock into a Graham stock.
