I first invested in a smart meter company (Bglobal) over 10 years ago, after attending the Ecobuild exhibition and listening to a very enthusiastic lecture given there. A decade on and nothing has happened.

Of course, the numbers (of meters) sound great but that only assists to hook punters in and then continually string them along. There'll be a similar conversation being had 10 years from now.

It's a shambles.

Just received my first invitation to have a smart meter installed. This bit doesn't sound too good:-

"you do need to be aware that your smart meter could lose some of it’s whizzy ‘smart’ functionality and revert to being a traditional meter if it isn’t compatible with your new supplier. This means that you might have to go back to giving regular monthly meter readings, and if anything goes wrong with your meter your new supplier might replace it with a standard meter – or their own meter – because they won’t know how to fix your particular model."

I don't think that anyone would believe that an £11K sell would cause panic in the (non-existent) Cyan market.

One or two bits of news re piddling orders or partnerships to come followed by another fundraise/placing. It'll be in 2019/20 though, so that Powell can get his 30% discount (he'll probably want to pay about 4.0p to 4.5p for his new shares) and on it will go.

The 145,000 sell at 8.0p does show up though. I think chappy was hoping for a better rise on news but then realised that he ought to get out whatever i.e. when rise didn't materialise. Sound move.

Well, Cyan is in the news flow stage (whatever that is supposed to mean). Yet more meaningless drivel.

Sells still outnumber buys though.

The £7m or £8m pa costs are definites but sales cannot be counted on in the same way.

Yes, they might end up reporting sales of £4m for 2018 but that's last year. This lot could easily report negligible sales in 2019 (much less than £4m) but their costs will still be there at £7m to £8m (best case scenario). They don't know what they're doing, apart from the obvious.

Considering that the BoD has hundreds of years of experience between them, what people should find more concerning is that they didn't understand their own business model i.e. how the 'income' would be recognised in the accounts. Effing clueless.

£7m or £8m of costs pa - it makes little difference when your income is eff-all.
