Yep think you are right. This was what was in the back of my mind.

Just making sure that you spotted that this is not new "news."

This was 9 years ago and BP were still reeling from Macondo, lower oil prices and moved to Namibia,

not long after this.

I believe, but not certain, that CEG ended up owning BP's OFF-3 3D analysis which potentially reduces costs considerably for any future Farmin partner.

Thanks for your reply. The reason I asked was primarily to ascertain if you had been FORMALLY notified of THE CONSOLIDATION. That would have indicated to me that all of the factors I alluded to are concluded and we are a GO.

So were you asked for action at all, if you dont mind me asking, or was it more FREETRADE investment update type of thing please?

That is the reason I asked because we are all hopefully waiting for the 50:1 consolidation as it amounts to sign off on all current issues falling into place: - Uruquay govt sign-off; Chevron full sign-off and payment; Charleston fully onboarded with their £1.5 mill.

I'm not being at all facetious - its just that you might not be aware of recent background events mon ami.

Bear in mind consolidation in this instance does not mean dilution - it is being requested by Charlestown to enable their investment via their Custodians.

Moniman I agree, talk of where it is going is ramping and is inappropriate so not needed.

However, what is also inappropriate is inaccurate posting and the quotes are accurate - the spread is about 4% for serious investors.

Moniman, maybe you should change broker - I've just been made .0735-.0765 as a spread.

You have been a source of good research; indeed Argerich info for example and I am very grateful for your input.

I am not defending our situation because I too was waiting for a positive from ARG and it is disappointing.

I would like to point out that the geological/techtonic analysis of Namibian comparison is not reflective of Argentina being much of a correlation.

Uruquay is much stronger as an argument for a "mirror reflection."

Also if you look at the "UNKNOWN" trades over the previous couple of days - 18/19/20 June - they add up to approx the same amount i.e. 260 mill and the SP was broadly trading around the 260 mill price level on avg over those 2 days.

Pers - Come on ------ you know that "Barclays" don't own the shares ---- they act as nominees for their account holders who probably number in their 1000's. Barclays will never in its own name hold shares in this type of "investment" as it falls well below their investment grade criteria. Nice try though!

It happens broadly coincident with Chevron deal approval by Uruquayan Govt and ratification by shareholders.

Best guess IMHO is sometime in the next month or so but we are talking bureaucracy here.

If I may ask - Do you know them? What is your assessment of their comments?

It seemed to me at least that they were either saying "Well done, good job, job done, thankfully going home after completion." OR "Success, well completed and successful."

Any thoughts mon ami and I know I am probably just wishful thinking !
