However, that does not include any potential success.

This is an oil specuator that is harnessed with the problem of a ONE failed proposition which they actually against all financial odds manged to DRILL!!

They have proved themselves managerially competent ever since and surely - isn't there reason to believe that they might hit the mark?

I am not ramping, however OIL etc fell out of fashion in the last 10-15 years primarily due to ECO etc.

Simon I am with you with hope for recent changes in circumstances relative to various RBD holdings.

However, I agree unless there is massive change in idealougies I AM OFF!

That being said , I did see a light today and I know this is wishful thinking: BUT I reckon that Keir might be about to smooze his way into a

modicum of Trumpism - The tide is possible!!!!!!!????? changing and folks might eventually start to realise that the "PERFECT" world that they all go on about is not reality.

Well not much significant price action.

However, the “Trade” action is significant - IMHO.

I believe something is in the pipeline – pun intended.

So many extreme “UNKNOWN” trades outside the acceptable spread indicate to me corporate activity.

I suspect that a deal on OFF-3 is in the offing – next couple of months due to legals etc.

Eytan’s warm words about Chevron in recent issuances make me speculate that the preferred and possibly, already engaged FO partner is in the making.

My advice to Eytan – for what little it is worth is: Take a 40/60 but with all expenses covered including 1st drill + $10-20 mill buy-in.

Maybe I’m trying to be too smart but that is what I would at least aspire too!

The problem as usual is that we are all waiting for news.

IMO the last few weeks’ price action has been subject to a/some large Investors

doing what they do re managing the price to build a position.

I.E. Sell some low to accumulate a holding.

Weaker holders get spooked and sell. Job done!

Sometime in the next few weeks/months there will be news one way or another.

Be patient.

It is true that ultimately large gains will only happen 18/24 months down the road on “Success.”

However, there should be hopefully some appreciation of the SP in the interim.

Thanks vm for that info much appreciated.

Difficult to know where things are going on all our "projects" as politics/environment are all pervading.

From that perspective the only thing I might add as a personal opinion is the fact that all the Govts involved in decision making on all our " projects are broke and that might change things. If it does then I think we have a chance in all cases. Cali is a possible example here where environmental principles are overtaken by economic pain!

I have to say you appear to be the most grounded investor on here and I thank you for your unbiased insights.

Quite right we have to be careful based on precedent !

However, it may be that a few things are about to finally slip into place IMO.

We are awaiting final sanction of CS and it seems that may be imminent – OR NOT; The whole oil/gas dynamic has changed in recent times – wars/Govt unpopularity /U-Turns and therefore we have potential for a positive surprise.

Just mentioning that, as it is so easy after so much disappointment, over many years, to not spot the potential positives.

My understanding from presentaions and anecdotal from Eytan is that Trindad washed its face i.e. income covered expenses.

CEG were trying get the BPD up from circa 400/450 when we went in to 700. (probably why we have an option set around that production level i.e. 750.)

However we never made any progress and in fact BPD reduced a bit during our ownership.

This is why CEG want out - too much hassle particularly when we have potentially bigger fish to fry in Uruquay.

So I think that re your question The SP should not be adversely affected at all because P/L is immaterial.

I concur mon ami.

For weeks now the “UNKNOWNS” have been prolific, and we know that almost certainly they are Morgan Stanley purchases.

This may be MS Nominee buying on behalf of PIs, however IMO it is probably Corporate acquisition. It is too large and regular for sporadic individuals’ activity.

Obviously, Corporate activity can be simply for portfolio investment in the same vein as PIs.

On the other hand, it could, as previously mentioned, be M&A activity.

I agree with you that Eytan must have some idea of what is occurring and we, shareholders, should be given a clue if possible.

My other question that I raised a while back is “who is selling?” This is becoming a large holding one way or another and I can’t figure out where the supply is coming from – particularly as it all seems to be going through at circa 9.25p on average. Also, the “UNKNOWN” daily trades are IMO being manipulated by The MMs so as to not inflate the SP, i.e. some slightly higher and some slightly lower than 9.25ish to give appearance of potential buys AND sells.

Similar thoughts have been in my mind re BP.

They are not licensed at all in the relevant Uruquay Basin.

As we now know and you point out they have turned about re offshore drilling.

Could be interesting if they and Chevron want in on OFF-3.

One other point:
