Absolutely right some sectors will unquestionably do well hence my promo of Amazon/Shopify etc.

The last time we had a problem like this was in 1665 when we had the greatest scientist the world has ever known albeit he was only 25 and didn’t have much clout.

The only way we stopped it was by the destruction of London 1 year later by a bakery in Pudding Lane.

Mr Trump has announced an opening of USA business –errrrh! 15 th May I.e. 4 weeks away – later than the UK assessment – new virus vaccine from a company I’ve never heard of (doesn’t mean much - I sleep a lot!)

I am not an alarmist or taker of advantage of situations – staying at home is not the end of the world for a few weeks – dying is!

I am cognizant of the fact that this is BPC bulletin board and apologies if being OOO – seriously!

However, I have worked for 40 years in most parts of the world and to some extent know how nations react.
Keep up the faith, keep smiling and think British -as Bond would say nobody does it better – particularly when the chips are down which he knew a lot about judging by his films which I am working through during the lockdown!

For our safety:

We had a Wall St rally because Amazon and Netflix reported great profits.

As mentioned previously buy stocks that enter your home or are delivered to your home – obvious in our current situation – IMO.

Are you buying a new phone/PC/New car – I suspect not.
This is going to get a lot worse.

Donald wants to re open America to normalize things, because the USA economy depends on massive turnover and he is ultimately a business person.

This IMHO will result In prolongation of the CV event that has seen them have the worst no.s of occurrences/deaths in The World already, albeit that they probably report more accurately than most. China reports are an absolute joke.

The Far East nations are already regretting releasing lockdown and are seeing increased incidence of aforementioned.

Reckless politics does not work.

Be very careful of investing in anything at the moment things will go down.

Deutsshhebabk – biggest bank in the world 12 years ago – bankrupt.
Commerzbank – virtually non existent.
Dresdnerbank – virtually non existent.
And don’t start me on the French banks who are just as k..ckered!

Thank goodness we had “austerity” – as if the modern generation has a clue what that means –
We are in a much better place to deal with this dilemma. Although it will take years to overcome.

It was a toss up between Elijah and Eisha to be honest but point “WELL” taken!

Gold surprised me a little while back by dipping significantly. However on reflection it was probably margin coverage in other assets.
Think it goes a lot higher in the med/long term. Not least because of the point I was making about govts/banks being broke.
At some point the last 12 years of national financial indebtedness has to be redressed and the time is not far off IMHO.

My Kruggerands and sovereigns reside under my bed - alongside the shotgun!

So oil around the price required for BPC commerciality.

S&E seemingly doing the right things in difficult circumstances – these guys deserve a medal bearing in mind everything they have had to put up with – think we should rechristen them Solomon and Elijah for their wisdom and miracle workings! – tick.

Price stable and probably creeping higher towards 2p IMHO.

Now ancillaries:

So EU reluctantly and inevitably came up with ½ trill euros to fight the pandemic. Broadly speaking they (27 countries) came up with roughly the amount The UK allotted (£330 bill) weeks ago.
The richest nations balked against helping the poorest. Start of infraction. EU unelected - dead in 5 years IMHO.
This money in all cases comes from coffers to be raised by nations who are still bankrupt from 2008 debacle.
All the banks within these nations are on life support despite what we are told.
(They do not report the way The UK does.)

The Indices are climbing because everyone thinks it’s all over bar the shouting - it ain’t – months to go yet and govts/ banks will be further in the hole before long.

On the plus side - families and friends are realizing what good fortune they have in life and ironically are communing more! Thank you to the internet developers and providers.This will permeate life for a long time IMHO and will result in much more homely recreation going forward which in turn will hit various businesses.

“New” skills are being learnt and enjoyed during the learning and making and things like takeaways will suffer to the enhancement of family/friends values.

This is not a rant although some may think otherwise – just trying to put my perspective on things hopefully for the common good..

I echo your thoughts about a return to Community thinking and hopefully one good thing that may come out of this is that folks will realize that they can look after themselves more and will not go to A&E for every little cut and bruise.

IMO the convertibles were always going to be actioned dependent, as per today, @ a cheap rate OR in the event of progress and subsequent share spikes.

The point is this proves the commitment of the investors to our cause and is a sign of intent.

This is good news - our backers are serious.

Sorry been too busy looking after vulnerable/isolated folks to contribute in recent days and not much to say about BPC as we are where we are for a while.

There’s been some talk on the board about CV over the last few days naturally, and I would just add a few comments:

The constant info we receive is from the media most of which as many have said is sensationalist and biased to Negative headlines.

We The UK have said all along about The Curve and it seems to be following the projected hyperbolic progression.

I hasten to add that those who “know” me on our board know I have empathy for all sufferers and their loved ones and the deaths are extremely upsetting to me.

I would like to point out something that occurs to me:

With all of the medical profession being engaged in combatting the virus and the pathologists analyzing tests etc – how on earth can they possibly be doing ALL OF THE HUNDREDS of autopsies at a rate that can possibly say for certain how, why, from what, all these poor people are dying with exactitude?
They can’t. Therefore how, can most of the extraordinary deaths i.e.. non vulnerable be accurate?

It will prove IMHO to be the media who are doing typical journalism quoting the folks who want to make the biggest headlines possibly for vested interests.

Mark my words the bbc (small caps deliberate). and co will rue the day when this is all over.

This is serious stuff and at times like this there needs to be more control of news output although perhaps not a la Goebells.

BG/BPC COLLABORATION.

The answer to me is still a consortium.

IMHO BG should grab the bull by the horns and issue a bond to partake in oil exploration.

BPC in any consortium should retain at least 51%.
Because we never know what govt will be like in the future – remember Anwar Sadat.

A BG bond of $25 million would probably be cheaper than current BPC funding.
In the big picture $25million is nothing cf to the national debt.

Invite several oilcos to join @ small %ages ownership – probably more palatable/attractive with reduced joint and several indemnity.

BG with partial successful ownership would be able to pay off national debt much quicker and proven oil reserves would enable (ironically) in the short term to raise more funds to cover a) current crisis and b) repair damage from natural disasters.

Minnis is IMO the man for this job – his first action as PM was to fly to Houston to get things moving to save his country’s fortunes. He has foresight.

S&E have /are proving their worth against ALL the odds. I would want them in charge.

BPC will have by my estimation enough cash to fund at least the first drill and probably the second. Add $25 mill from BG and we have 2nd /3rd wells guaranteed.

BG will still receive tax take of circa 25% + investment income.

Proven strike and good reserves = buyout by a Major for BG = pay off national debt.

Guaranteed drilling = jobs for the Bahamas and some certainty of a 3rd / 4th “pillar to the economy.

The numbers here are arbitrary and given for food of thought. I’m a bit busy feeding elderly relatives and volunteering for The NHS @ the mom to give too much cerebral application to money matters which are far less important.
