UK mine reopens after going bankrupt14 Dec 2019 07:27
Sirius could go either way, but this shows a recent UK mine going bankrupt and being baught for a fraction by a new company.
"Australia’s Wolf Minerals crashed and burned when it failed to produce enough metal, saw global prices hit the floor and was saddled with enormous debts. There had been fears the Drakelands mine could close as early as 2016, and so when the specialty metals producer finally went into administration on October 10, 2018, with a debt mountain of about £70million, it seemed like the inevitable conclusion to a doomed venture".
Hargreaves has signed a 10-year mining services contract, worth £1million a year for eight years starting by 2021, to carry out similar services to those it was engaged in at the mine during Wolf Minerals".
