If he had quit he would be gone today and the Board would not have kept him on. I welcome this change. There needs to be a CEO based in Australia not the UK. Clearly he was told that by the Board and probably the large shareholders.
Yes possibly. It was never going to be a 100% certain that the FCA would approve the application. That milestone has now been achieved.
Agreed. I think this sets the scene for an RTO or a corporate acquisition / transaction. I guess this is the first step. The FCA could quite easily have rejected the acquisition.
Agreed JB. This is a positive step forward. The process of joining the SFS segment of the main market is very rigorous and arduous and well done to the management in achieving this. Under this arrangement MTR will be able to dispense with the NOMAD/Broker relationship required for AIM. This will be a major cost saving in itself. It will become much easier and quicker to invest in opportunities without having to go through the rigours of class testing the investment. From my understanding MTR will become an Alternative Investment Fund or "AIF". This is a first step and it will be very interesting to see how MTR takes this forward. I guess time will tell.

Agreed p@. I am particularly interested in the extension drill hole at Pattersons. I note from an August RNS that hole 6 was to be extended by an additional 400m to test various anomalies. It’s very close to Haveiron. If that shows something special then happy days alround. I note that the original discovery at Haveiron was of a similar depth! I guess we should know very soon.
Agreed Steve, But I would go for in excess of 8p and nearer 15p. If results nearer Haveiron show anything like the geology then all bets are off! A trading halt on the ASX is still on the cards in my opinion. If ARV do not manage to halt their listing on the LSE then that will provide a one time opportunity to load up! I reckon Monday or Tuesday.
