FAR has tanked, recovered a bit lately and dropped back on yesterdays news the feasibility study is delayed. So I though it might help raise the SP, ultimately though I was unsure what the FS would do to the SP. FS raising the funding question is a good point.

GCAT - full production delayed to end of H1. In addition there will be news on Tanazania drill results and news on Vim Rutha prospect (at Kilimepesa). I’m trying to get a feel but there could be loads of news expected in the summer.

I’ve decided to split my funds in 2 - half buy and hold GCAT. Half to try 50% trading. Trade #1 is HE1, bought at 6.05p. … thereafter I’m leaning towards TXP (albeit I am curious about EST and 88e). Wait and see the SP of each after selling HE1!

TXP may not rerate when expected but is a safer home for your funds. 88e and EST we know roughly when news is due - but poor results would be a problem. At the same time EST is at all time low and has to (surely) tick up closer to results (surely). 88e - same as EST ..

Bebeto - completely agree. This share is a completely different animal and a far improved investment choice to 12 months ago.

Can you remember there were timescales given on vim rutha. I’m sure there was a feasibility study mentioned and I think towards the summer.

I also liked the way this was communicated now, not left ‘till February and told ‘it’ll be another 3 months’. That would leave you thinking will there be another delay in 3 months. It does feel a bit more professional and a bit more thought through. So I’m not concerned, more reassured if anything.

I also think the funding due diligence of 6 months has affected things a little (ie receiving the funds that allow the mine expansion to happen later than they thought).

I need to take better notes.

@legalwolf - yeah I’d rather is was in 3 months too, we all would, but so be it. Ultimately a great RNS today. Love that IRR figure.

Fair enough, though ….. which market are GCAT? It’s not aim and this is why they couldn’t dilute further to raise funds (which was massive for me)

@bebeto - derisked, undervalued and now realistic and achievable targets.

Robbie’s only fault is he gets a bit too excited and over promises on very aggressive schedules. This has helped gcat achieve a lot in a short period of time, however some investors see this as missed promises and schedules slipping.

If it can be understood that the plans are a bit ambitious sometimes and the result are sometimes missed deadlines - but still real progress at remarkable pace then that is the real picture here.

I should add half my of my holdings are in this share, still not wise but I have real belief in gcat

I’ll be honest, I sold some gcat - to hedge my bets on missing the March production. I still felt they were being ambitious and if missed there would be toys thrown out the pram and a good re-entry price.

I also sold some as I was ‘all in’ - not wise!

In my opinion that was great RNS and the only negative is the production which is now more realistic. Can someone remind me, is the Vim Rutha feasibility study also pencilled in for the summer? ….

Northfork- I’d agree with that. He’s made mistakes as we all have but yeah he is a cracking poster. One of a few I really appreciate on LSE.

Trek is still invested in TXP, and also GCAT amongst others.

Short answer : no, never invested

Long answer. I spotted it, I was tempted but didn’t have the nerve. Nowadays I have a few people on these boards who’s views I do respect and are not just ramping stocks. If Ben had happened now and one of them shown interest it would have given me some conviction!

I’d agree dia, much of yesterdays selling was forward selling.

If you already held, you’d be selling at a loss when you’ve a very good chance of selling at a higher SP got Ben a little time. Had to be placing shares being flipped, and as said large sales at that…

So… the rig will be released on the 19th (we think).

And the placing shares hit the market on the 19th… (but could be forward sold for all wall we know).
