I would tend to agree. I fully expect an extension on Friday. I fully expect the JV to go ahead and sooner rather than later.

To answer my own question I emailed the company.

Nick von Schirnding responded within minutes. The JV is dependent on the Cadastre approvals.

So the Cadastre approvals are needed then the JV can be signed off.

All eyes on the approvals process then.

Is it just my dodgy memory or were there not drill results to be RNSd in January from the hill (never were as they were flat out dealing with the finance).

And from memory the drill results were from East and West extremities from the hill, but were never announced.

Surely this is starting to look like 1mill oz on the hill sometime.

Yes it is loose change. But these are busy people, they don’t take the time and effort progress negotiations as RNSd in February just for the fun of it.

As regards someone from AA taking over (whoever posted that). Think it through and let me know what prevents this. Have a wee think.

I don’t know.

We will all know more in by the weekend. If the JV is extended - then yes. We need to wait.

If no, then a JV conditional JV gets signed off soon, possibly this week.

If there is an extension (due to waiting on the licence) then it would be good if the company states this in the next RNS. Clear communication.

AA won’t have put time money and effort into the DD and negotiations just for the fun of it.

The RNS this week sounds like the housekeeping that is needed to prepare for the JV. The last RNS was very positive. Worst case (for me) we are waiting on the licence. Just a little more patience :)

I don’t think it surprising that it’s too early to report an average grade, the discussion of reporting this in a month makes more sense (and may still be a little early tbh!). I’ll look forward to that in couple of weeks.

So the current operations will be completed in months with plant and team to move to Thorny River after. So. Part of me is disappointed they can’t mine both at the same time. However if the current area will be exhausted in months it makes no sense buying more equipment and brining in a second team when this one has gained experience.

All makes sense and rather prudent.

African diamonds tend to be larger and better quality. I did not know that, great news.

Fully funded to end of year - and as they are now producing diamonds they won’t need a funds raise.

The team mining are not drawing a wage, but are paid a royalty on what they find. I also like this - no monthly drain on finances AND they will be keen to get on and find diamonds!

So - no need for capex on equipment. No need to pay wages apart from the board. Sounds a lean operation!

The whole approach taken is pretty sensible and refreshing.

But yesterdays RNS is certainly hinting a change of direction is imminent and given the bullish RNS at the last extension, we’ll Id be more encouraged than discouraged at this stage.

All we can tell from that tweet is that they are working away and - but JC not say the team had done a fantastic job in his absence? (I think you said this echo, he responded to you by email?)

So all we can guess is they are progressing as per plan or ahead of plan when he emailed that. I’d say that is encouraging.

It doesn’t really make sense to have a weekly RNS on progress, monthly (at this early stage) is more sensible.

Of course should they find something of high worth then that is maybe something to RNS on its own…
